I just got back my office pool results and, as it turns out, if GA Tech and UConn make it to the finals I win some cash and, if UConn wins it all, I win even more cash. If these scenarios play out I also think I win the RF pool.

So I'm sure all of you, along with right-thinking Americans everywhere, will join me in rooting for the young scholar-athletes from Duke and OK State all to come down with a debilitating (but not fatal!) malady (eg. shingles, mononucleosis, St. John's gang-bangitis) on Saturday morning.

Because, as I'm sure you will all agree, it's not about winning, it's about the competition and the sportsmanship.*

My office pool was pretty small this year. As it stands if Connecticut beats Duke I win the pool regardless of what happens after that.

Course I'm way behind (in 11th) on the RF pool and even if I get the 280 possible remaining points that are too many of you ahead of me to do much.

But it'd be sweet to see Duke go down the drain.

Of course, I usually cheer for the underdog, plus UConn knocked out my Lady Lions, so I have extra incentive to cheer against them.
