Anyone have a copy or link to the program?
Are you a cop? You know you have to tell me if you are a cop!

You can do a search for that exact program through various search engines and find the program and the code for it. However I'd suggest that no one post it here because as far as I know it is illegal to even post a link to it. If you're resourceful enough with searches and other third party file sharing programs you should be able to find it.

Don't post it here because it's long. There are websites dedicated to every facet of DeCSS. You may link to them, you may talk about them, you may do small quotes from them. You may not repost the entire DeCSS code in its entirety.

Can someone link to it, then?
I heard someone was selling a T-Shirt with the code on it.

The code (http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/DeCSS/Gallery/c-anonymous.c)
Gallery DeCSS (http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/~dst/DeCSS/Gallery/)
Perl DeCSS shirt (http://www.copyleft.net/item.phtml?page=product_1174_front.phtml)
Of course, since the code is in the public domain, you could make your own shirts, hats, mugs, etc. But I'dd suggest donating to the EFF if you do.

I guess I need to learn to "program C" or whatever in order to do anything with this.
Thanks for the links, Jon!

DVD recorders would be blocked by macrovision, so he can't do that.
SKW, if you have any more in depth questions, contact me privately and I'll do what I can to assist you. There's a limit to the amount of info I will disseminate in this public forum due to any potential backlash.

You may link to them
That's cool. The last article I had read on DeCSS said to the effect that even posting a link to where to get it was illegal, so I didn't want to make trouble for the board by posting a link to it.

If any agency requests the removal of the links, then we will capitulate and you will be forced to type "DeCSS" into google. Until then, feel free to use the links above.
