This is in DC. Any suggestions on someplace decent to eat within walking distance?
Showtime is at 8:00 PM
Thanks!
Yes, I know it's Jon Stewart, my fingers screwed up by doing what my brain told them to type!

The only place I know that's close is the Exchange Saloon (but it's a bar first and a food place second). It's up on 1719 G Street, which is a couple of blocks away.
There may be more restaurants that are in the area, but I don't know anyting about them.

I don't live there and I know nothing of the area, but I am going to assume that their is a McDonalds in walking distance.

Oddly enough, there isn't. Nor is there a Popeye's withing walking distance.
It's downtown DC and for some reason the fast food places tend to be further out and in very specific places (certain metro stops).
Maybe it's that there are too many historic buildings, but it's damned hard to find just a quick pop in type of place. I'll probably end up walking 10 blocks are so to find something. (I say walk, because parking is a nightmare)

You're right. There are popeye's, it's just on the other side of the whitehouse (about a mile away). Not exactly the distance I want to walk for fast food chicken (even if it's great fast food chicken).

Mikeyboy - thanks!
I should have tried Yahoo! myself - what an idiot.
My mistake was using the Washington Post Online Entertainment guide. I put in the DAR info and then looked for what was near:
Results: 0 were found near your location!
Thanks again to all!

There's a couple places around there, but I'm only going to tell you one: go west because that's where George Washington University is and that's where the hotties are. There's some small restaurants, delis and bars with food around there, just go west and start asking the hotties. You shouldn't have to walk more than 5 or 6 blocks.

Thanks for the suggstion. BTW - is it better for me to ask the hotties or should my pregnant wife do the asking? Either way sounds pretty hot to me.
Thanks again to all who made suggestions (even McDonald's and Popeye's folks).
I've never seen Stewart do standup, but I'm hoping that it's a fun night.

If you get one of the hotties, maybe you can have a 3 1/2 some!

At this stage I'll just settle for "some".
