I'm watchin' The Daily Show and while John Stewart is talking about the gay marriage stuff, he says "Those fuckers". No bleep, and plain as day! The show is taped earlier in the day. I don't know how it snuck through. It was nice!

its fuckin cable. the FCC has no power and they can put on what ever they want. the only reason they usually dont is cause they are afraid to lose sponsors. thats how they get paid.
they can show you pussy if they want

Not to long ago on comedy central they aired South Park the movie with no bleeps. Its not like they got a special note from all the kids parents who were going to watch saying it was ok. They can do whatever they want, they choose not to becuase of sponsors and they are pussies.

Yes, because being a "pussy" means not saying "fuck" at least ten times between each commercial.

Let's not forget the "shit" episode of South Park. CC's general thing is to put more offensive language after 10pm. It'll prolly be bleeped during the 7pm replay tonite.

Didn't the FCC say that Fuck was allowed to be used on TV, as long as it wasn't to a sexual reference?

your still missing the fact that the FCC doesnt have any power over cable. only free public airways, networks and radio

Not even profanity will make me watch Comedy Central until Tough Crowd comes on.
Didn't the FCC say that Fuck was allowed to be used on TV, as long as it wasn't to a sexual reference?
I believe you can use it as an adjective, but not as a verb.
Thus, I can "That fucking John Stewart!" and be okay, but not "Fuck you, John Stewart!" That's improper.

Yes, you could say "What the fuck was that?" but not "I'd sincerely love to fuck the taste out of your mouth." :eg:

Jon mentioned it on the show last night.
He said they just forgot to bleep it.
I think they were trying to make a point about this whole FCC/Janet/Bubba/HowardStern thing. But then they heard the FCC might set their sites on Cable and Comedy Central got upset (they didn't rerun the show the following day as they normally would)
Does anyone have a tape of it?

But they replayed it at 1 AM that night and it had been bleeped.
