I'm not much of a donut eater, but I'd like to pay a visit to one of those prehistoric donut shops in New York. Forget Dunkin' Donuts or Krispy Kremes, I want go to a place called DONUTS, you know what I'm saying? I think I know where I can find a place, probably 24th Street & 9th or 10th Avenue, where my Uncle Louie used to go.
Your comments please.

actually, this is one time i wont agree. most chains suck, but dunkin donuts ill say is some quality. the coffee is banging and damn they have good donuts. especially when you used to work there and would over fill the boston kreme so they explode as soon as someone bit one

There used to be a donut shop called Clover Donuts, One of those places where they had the swinging stools, and small booths, and their regular jelly donuts and glazed donuts were the best

USELESS INFO brought to you by Jeff:
*************************************
A friend of mine is a coffee trader and he says that Dunkin Donuts coffee is rated one of the top in the business (far superior to the coffee chains). They spend a large amount of money on coffee but make up the money from the high margin on the donuts.

locally around DC, Montgomery's Donuts was the good 24hr, diner-esque donut shop--styrofoam cup coffee, and lots of wax napkins
