The last book I read was
The Dirt by Motley Crue.
(Ok, I could have **WoWed** ya
with the more intellectual Ann
Rand, Fydor Dostoyevsky, or
Virginia Wolfe but I work on
college text books all day!)

I wish I loved the human race; I wish I loved its silly face; I wish I liked the way it walks; I wish I liked the way it talks; And when I'm intoduced to one; I wish I thought, What jolly fun!

Neal Gabler's Winchell. Good book, shocking his influence.
Currently on CHOKE
"Nothing can kill The Grimace"
I'm reading Green Hills of Africa by Hemingway.
It's a personal narrative, so it's very different from the rest of his stuff, but it's pretty cool. I have the unquenchable urge to kill a Rhino, though.

Finished Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" today. The Dirt was the book before that, my next book is Cryptonomicon by Neil Stephenson.

Just finished "Fraud" by David Ratkoff, collection of essays, very funny, worth picking up. He went to a buddhist retreat led by Steven Seagal! Worth the price of admission right there!
Started on "Another Roadside Attraction" by Tom Robbins. Anyone else a Tom Robbins fan?
JJ, how was American Gods?
Ikeaboy, NOICE! I liked it, but it was my least favorite of his books, I think.

I just read this delightfully witty book called "Horton Hears his parents in bed" By Dr. Seduce. The great thing is that it's a pop-up.

Sallie, I read "Exquisite Corpse" by Poppie Z. Brite (I imagine her semianonymity in the world of horror fiction is due to the fact her name is "Poppy". Same deal as the oft-maligned true crime author Slappy McGarnacle.). There's nothing better Gay Vampires with AIDS. How's the book?
I liked Heart of Darkness but I didn't. It was a brilliant bok, but so fucking poorly written, at least in my opinion. The first two pages have gorgeous imagery...and then it stops, lol.

Well, I'm Catholic, so I prefer "You're a Naughty Child and That's Concentrated Evil Coming Out of You"
And the last book I read was The Dirt (Motley Crue). The book before that was an encyclopedia of Serial Killers.

VALIS by Phillip K. Dick. First of a trilogy exploring man's quest for a deity and ultimate failure to find same.
Really well written and especially interesting b/c Dick was dying of cancer when he wrote the books, so it gave him a very intersting perspective.
Next up, the Divine Invasion.
Oh yes, I simultaneously read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Alzkaham. The Potter books have got to be the best quasi kids books ever. I love them as much as my children.

Skull, people tease you because they love you.
As for my latest reading, a friend gave me a copy of "Don't Sweat The Small Stuff". After reading a few pages of it I threw it in the trash. I am now reading "The Army Officer Guide", given to me by a soldier friend, "Post Office", by Charles Bukowski and "Nazi Spys In America", a great collection of WW2 spy stories.
