If it's true, that's some priceless shit right there...I hope they turn around & trade him to the Texans as punishment (there's no NFL equivalent in Japan like there is in baseball right?...just checking). I'm sure a nice, well-behaved gentleman like TO will find lots of friends in Texas.

theres arena football and NFL europe!

i expect him to become a freeagent anyway, the league will turn around and let him become one simply bacuase the niners dotn want him. he'll be too big of a disruption, i expect to see him somewhere else in september!

Right, now they can trade for picks (or just to move up) & draft a new WR in a talented-WR-heavy draft class, while sending that talented but brainless tumor to just about whatever NFL purgatory team they want. This works out great for the 49ers...man I hope this is true.

i don't know if they have the same agent, but Dennis Northcutt from the Browns apparently did the same thing. he could have gotten a little bit more money this year due to the lack of free agent WR's.

They've done it before in cases like this...they just add a suplemental/compensatory 33rd pick to a given round. I think the last time they did it was for the Raiders last year.

they give away late round picks all the time. the giants had like 10 picks last year, though i dont know the reasons they do.

the niners should just be allowed to put him out there as a restricted free agent that should be fine for all parties, any team that wants him has to give up their first rounder, or the niners keep him. seems fair to me.
