Jeff didn't see it coming but I guess he is a face now since DOn Callis left just a few days ago. Creepy!

Should be interesting!

No it's not. When does TNA's deathwatch start with that bag of wind running things. He ruined WCW didn't he?

Oh please! He tried to save that company but it was too late.

Russo is good for TNA.

I have watched the last 3 weeks (free ppv is great). Russo is not a good thing. Last week was good except for Triple J. And I really hate ICP. Are they booking them as the invincible tag team now.

1)Russo didn't try to save WCW, he tried to prove he was the force behind the WWF's success by doing it again in WCW. He was wrong, he failed.

2)Russo being back probably means all dealings with Hogan are off.

3)I gave it a shot the last 2 weeks, Russo will stop my interest.

4)The ICP fans are annoying, the second their subpar match was over, 75% of them left, leaving the audience looking thin for the last 2 matches. Either this is just their fans being rude, or the ICP trying to position themselves for better placement. It will also end badly.

Russo is only good if someone above him polices him and his idea, which was absent when he and that other asshole went to WCW and run it

1)Russo didn't try to save WCW, he tried to prove he was the force behind the WWF's success by doing it again in WCW. He was wrong, he failed.

WCW was almost beyond all hope of repair before Russo signed on.

I'm EXTREMELY critical of Russo's run in WCW, but blaming him for the demise of WCW is just silly. It's ignorant. He did a lot of stupid shit there, but at least he was willing to try different things and he actually pushed the younger talent - the problem was, at that point, the older talent with all of the stroke in the company had done irreversible damage. WCW's death is not Russo's fault.

2)Russo being back probably means all dealings with Hogan are off.

I was pleased when Hogan agreed to work with TNA.

After jerking them around for the last 4 months or so, though, I'm of the opinion that it's not necessarily a bad thing if the deal is off.

3)I gave it a shot the last 2 weeks, Russo will stop my interest.

I'm one of Russo's biggest critics, because when the guy is bad, he's REALLY bad - but again, at least he tries different things and pushes new (and often younger) talent. For all of those who complain about Jeff Jarrett, you wouldn't even have A.J. Styles as a main eventer if not for Russo.

Besides, at this point Russo > Dutch Mantell.

4)The ICP fans are annoying, the second their subpar match was over, 75% of them left, leaving the audience looking thin for the last 2 matches. Either this is just their fans being rude, or the ICP trying to position themselves for better placement. It will also end badly.

I can't disagree with this. I was against bringing ICP in, I'm against them now.

Russo can be good in a booking position only if someone overlooks what he does. He should not put himself on TV at all though.

I didn't say he was responsible for the demise of WCW, that was all Bischoff's horrible deal making. I said he failed at proving that he was the brains behind the WWF's success.

My biggest beef with him is that he doesn't belong on TV. And even if he does end up on TV, he shouldn't be involved in 30 minutes of promo time on a show when most of the matches are given under 10 minutes. One of the few WCW ppv's I saw near the end was when Booker won the title for the first time. I enjoyed the way he worked that and that was probably the last time.

What does DOA stand for? Dead on Arrival?

And Bischoff killed WCW. What VinnyRu jumping proved was that Ru comes up with great ideas, but needs someone like VinnyMac to reel him back and edit those ideas.

Bischoff was only partially responsible for WCW's demise. He was responsible for all of the disgustingly expensive GUARANTEED contracts, and not putting his foot down to stop the locker room politics, but there's a host of others who are responsible for the destruction of WCW, from the Time Warner / AOL execs down to the jackoffs on the roster (Hogan, Nash, Goldberg) who refused to job / sell for people.

thinking about it (and watching the revisionist history called the "monday night wars" DVD), Russo was really put between a rock and a hard place. he had to deal with the "creative clauses" in the contracts of the top guys, while trying to figure out who's in charge since he came in during the merger of AOL/TW. SO all his ideas that made it to the air were either not looked at by a Higher up, or was the 5th or 6 th best idea he had on a long lise of ideas for storylines.

I honestly will give him a chance to see what he can do
