I hope like hell that this isn't it. But the funny thing is, even though we all know that this announcement would mean that both HHH & HBK get out of having to do the right thing & do a clean job to Benoit, this would likely be a hell of a match. I still don't want to see it. Put a ladder match somewhere else on the card.

I think it's just going to be the official booking of the Goldberg/Brock match...it's a "big" announcement because it's inter-promotional...yippee.

But, I won't lie, I can't wait to see it. I hope Goldberg forgets himself (like he's prone to doing) & takes liberties, or starts to shoot & that pisses Brock off. Then we see Brock get medieval on his ass at Mania. I hope he stretches Goldberg so badly, he'll never be able to lift his arm & show off that horrific upside-down, I-heard-some-really-hardcore-guy-in-ECW-got-this-done tattoo again.

I would like to see Goldberg go off the page too, but in a different direction. We know Brock will win, since Bill's gone after XX. He should daze Brock just enough to catch him off guard and pin him. Yeah, the ref would be makin' an extremely slow count, but it would be pretty cool.
And Goldberg doesn't have a thing to lose! So he'll be blackballed in the industry. I don't think he really cares.
Hell, we haven't had a good screwjob since Montreal. And since Goldberg put Bret out of the business, it would be a nice tip of the cap, of sorts.

Triple doesn't have to defend the title at 'Mania nor does he have to defend the title at any time there after since the world heavyweight title has been taken over by a dictatorship.

a) He wants more money than they want to pay him.

b) He hasn't show any desire to resign with the company.

c) Most in the company (rightfully) view him as a pompous ass and don't really care to have him around any more.

Austin can't. That career is pretty much over and done with. Lesnar / Goldberg is pretty much the last money match we're ever going to get out of Bill Goldberg.
