Okay, I've talked to Sunny and gvac on this topic, and they're both heartless motherfuckers.

Flash is a superhero ONLY because he's fast. You drop a car on him, he's dead. You ask him to lift a car, his arm breaks. You ask him to leap over a tall building in a single bound, he cries softly to himself.

Superman is fucking SUPERMAN. Because the writers were so great, there's pretty much no limit on what Superman can do (and any limit in recent years is just backpeddling because a guy who can't be killed in any way shape or form except if he's weakened by Kryptonite [that trick never works] doesn't make for enthralling reading for 50+ years) Sure, you can run as fast as the flash, but you can also lift up continents with your pinky, fly, are invulnerable, etc.

LET THE GUY WHO CAN RUN FAST HAVE HIS DAY IN THE SUN! How would you feel going through life as a superhero who can run really fast, but there's another guy out there who can run faster AND take an atom bomb to the face and remain unscathed?!? HUH?!?!?

So, would you throw the race?

Screw the Flash, that limp-wristed pantywaist! He must have some pair of balls to call himself a superhero if all he can do is run fast. When the first sign of trouble comes, what does he do, run away very fast? He should run and get Superman, that's what he should do.

And what fun would it be to be Superman if you didn't get to rub it in other guys' faces from time to time that you were better than them in every way?

How did the Flash know where the F'he was running? I always wondered how he never ran into a tree or a building. Was it because he sees things in super-slow motion and he can react to stuff "super-fast"?
That would suck with evrything moving slow.
