i think WAM shows repeats of "Weird Science". That show was so awesome. That USA hour of "Weird Science" and "Duckman" was one of the best hours ever on tv. Then you had "Up all night" with Rhonda Shear and Gilbert Gotfried, but i digress

I hate everyone of those Encore movie channels. I only get them cause they're a part of the same package that includes IFC, Sundance, and TCM.
Encore's piss me off cause all they play is full screen versions of the films. I just can't subject myself to full screen. I'm just a snob when it comes to that.

Ah, Duckman. Great show. I wonder if it'll ever make its way to DVD.

As for the movies channels, I haven't had any premium channels in over three years, and I don't really miss it. The only thing I'm kind of bummed out about not getting to see is Curb Your Enthusiasm, and even with that my patience to wait a few months for the DVD release is stronger than my desire to pay for a bunch of channels I won't watch. I can think of very few good movies that I managed to catch while I had the whole Starz-Encore-HBO-Showtime package.

Don't most premium channels show stuff in full screen? I watched Withnail & I on TCM last night uncut and in widescreen. Oh, and it was free too. Of course, the nice Criterion DVD was sitting on my shelf the whole time as well. Isn't it weird how you'll watch movies on TV that you own on DVD?

I don't have any premium channels, but last month Showtime had a free preview and I found a few films that were shown in widescreen.

I mainly stick with TCM, FOX Movie Channel, IFC and Sundance. TCM always airs movies in their original aspect ratios, while the other 3 do about 90% of the time.
