mostly my customer but my boss is pissing me off right now. I just gave my notice that i was leaving in march over a month away. He is giving me the guilt treatment that he kept me on while i was in school but i ran this place for him while i juggled my school schedule around the operation hours of this place. I work alone he never comes in unless it is to collect the money at the end of the week and that is only for a half hour. He is say he doesn't know why i want to leave even though the new place is offering more money for working only 40 hours while i work anywhere from 43-51 hours a week here the new place is giving me benfits which i don't have now and if i work more than 40 hours i get paid overtime my days offare fri and sat not just sun like now. the new job is a lot cloeser to home too. and i will have other people working with me so i don't have to do everything myself and to top it off i even found my replacement. but that is not good enough he wants me to stay to atleast june cause i have to train the new guy and he doesn't want to have to spend time with him here, however he will run over to his other shop at the drop of a hat and spend all day there but i couldn't get a day off for christmas when i had to work 18 days in a row cause we had to be opened all the time to make up for a bad year. i couldn't even get the day off to go to my brother's graduation from the fdny academy. He also doen't understand how i could leave because he pay me so well (i have no benfits my mother has to pay for my car insurance and i live in the back bedroom of my aunts house) while he just got a new car for himself and his wife and i going on vacation 14 days but when i took my vacation over the summer i had to only be gone from monday til thursday cause he didn't want to lose his day off on friday. oh yeah the store is up for sale and there is a rumor that is going to get closed soon so what the fuck am i going to do if i stay i lose my better offer and then i l;ose the current job

Don't let this asshat guilt you. The days of slavery are over. You are not required to train your replacement. Don't even give this asshole 2 weeks notice. Tell him to mail your paycheck to you and if its late, you're going to call your uncle who happens to be a lawyer and loves to take on assholes like him.

the guilt ain't going to work what i thought was extreamly funny though is for over a year all i had here was a 5in b&w tv so magicly(sp) monday morning when i walk in there was a new 13 in color tv all set up ready to go along with the supplies that i have been asking for for over a year and his response was just go to home depot and pick it up urself but no there were both there yesterday morrning

i already got the counter offer which just pissed me off more an etrra $100 from what i make now which will be only 80 more than what i will be making but that 100 is for 43-51 hour work week not 40 like the 80 less( pluse over time for over 40 ) and there was no offer for benifits in the counter offer
