I hope they know what they're doing. One thing I agree with is that they are the only ones focusing on games. Sony and Microsoft seem so consumed with throwing whatever ridiculous hardware they can throw into their consoles and having it do anything and everything. I hope the DS and this strategy succeed. I DO NOT want to see Nintendo turn into Sega. (make great games, lose money and end up being bought out by a pachinko company)

IGN said that Nintendo Of America denied the reports, but Nintendo's been known to lie. There's definitely gonna be a successor to the GameCube, it just looks like it won't be happening as soon as they initially said it would.

well nintendo may just be waiting. they may be just waiting to see wat microsoft and sony do. i mean thats what cube did with sony thusly cube had better graphics than ps2. and much faster. the only advice i can give them is stop thinking soley on being able to play games. they need to allow dvds and an online connection. and please im begging make a better controller.

They can survive without dvd playback, but no online is hurting them. And they need a braoder range of games.

I actually like the gamecube controller. It fits nicely into your hand. The playstation controller is much better then x-box's, but it still has a lot of buttons and stuff.

Edit: I just read Nintendo of America's response on IGN and I'm not sure if I buy it. Nintendo isn't going to take themselves out of the system wars by holding a new console back until 2007 or 2008.

Don't worry about Nintendo going the way of Sega. That will NEVER happen.

i agree but the x-box controller type-S is the fucking shit. it fits my hand absolutely perfectly. but the damn white and black button are still in awkward positions. and my two biggest problems with the cube controller, the Z button is completely out of the way and the d-pad. its way too small and i prefer the d-pad to the joystick cuz i grew up with the d-pad and it feels more natural.

I find the cube controller real comfy, but I will agree with one gripe, that damn Z button. When I first got the cube, I forgot the button was there, the way they hid it above the R button. Made blocking in SSBM a bitch at first.

I like the Cube controller, but I do have a gripe aside from the Z button. There's no reason the A button should be that big. It displaces the Y and X buttons, making them just a bit more difficult to reach. But it's nowhere near as hideous as any of the X-Box controllers.

The PS2 controller would be perfect if it didn't have such a lousy digital pad.
