As a short stop, he could start on every team in hte Bigs, but is he one of the greatest athletes ever? No, absolutely not.

Yes, he has won 4 championships, but he wasnt the sole reason the Yankees won. They could have won those championships with someone else at shortstop. He has made some spectacular plays at very oppurtune times in his career, but to be spoken of in the smae sentance as Micheal Jordan? Thats blasphemy!

And his arguement is bogus. Wilson made more plays at shortstop then Jeter did, meaning he had more opportunities...........right? Why does that make Wilson better? What it means to me, is that opposing hitters hit it to his position when hes not there, meaning they all think they have a better shot at a hit with Wilson in the field.

Jeter is a great athlete; he hits for average in the major leagues. Hitting a baseball, especially major league pitching, has got to be one of the hardest things in sports. Jordan tried it at a much lower level, A-ball, and sucked at it.

i tell you who the most underated athlete is shawn palmer the man can pick up any sport and dominate i less than a year from out of nowhere he ruled the down hill mountain biking scene and bmx then he took up snow boarding and owned that in the x games downhill skiing just for shits he compeated in that in the x games and just missed medaling after not doing it since he was a kid he excelled at snowmobile raceing too. he even has his own video game and snowboard merchandise. Don't give me the argument that extreme sports are not real sports cause it does take a lot of talent do do the shit that they do. I am just as sick as the next person about how everthing now has to be extreme but i give thoese athletes more credit cause they don't bich and whin about their multimillion dollar contracts that so many of the mainstrean athletes do.

Well, I figured that everyone agrees that he should not be on the panel, so I never brought it up. Honestly, how can a guy who won maybe 4 or 5 post season games on his career after spending most of it on a losing team be considered one of the most winningest athletes ever? Whiningest, yes, but definatley not winningest.
