View Full Version : Flair vs. Benoit, what a fucking tease!

The beginning of the show we get treated to a possible Flair vs. Benoit match as his return to WWE Raw but instead we end up with a Benoit vs. Mark Henry match? Are you fucking kidding me? Why do you even bother WWE teasing us with such an off the charts matchup possibility?
Flair vs. Benoit, now that would be a Wrestlemania caliber match! Who else agrees with me?
Question, anyone know if they have ever hooked up in a match before? I can not recall a match ever.

Next week, as long as they don't switch it again.

Jon, did they say it will be next week?
I taped it and fastforward the majority of the show to just see the Y2j-Benoit-Flair segment, the Trish-Y2J-Christian exchange, Mic-Orton and the Taker promo under the guise of a Goldberg-Kane match.

They announced it towards the end, right after the tag title match I believe.

as far as I know, thos two titans have never tangled.
And don't you know by now that the WWE likes to tease its high profile Raw matches for a week or two?

I looked on Google (because God forbid I work at work) and found this:
They met one time (http://www.lordsofpain.net/reports/thunder/thunder6-3-99.html)

as far as I know, thos two titans have never tangled. Thanks Jon. I would have thought that after the 4 Horsemen disapated (sp?) they may have crossed paths one way or another although back in the day in WCW he was generally part of the Cruiserweight Division.
And don't you know by now that the WWE likes to tease its high profile Raw matches for a week or two?Yeah but not something of this caliber... the wait for something of this manitude is too horrible to bear.
I haven't felt this excited about a match since Rock vs. Hogan and that is absolutely the truth, from my mouth to God's ears. That ole gag.

Thanks Tazz for the Google search. I wouldn't consider that a real match cuz of course, freakin interference and on Thunder no less.

I'm really looking foward to this. Raw will be in Portland for the first time ever. Portland used to be a real hotbed for wrestling back in the day. This has the potential to be a memorable show. But it's WWE, so who the hell am I fooling?

Were you happy with this match? I think it was great but a little short and way too early in the night.
Next week, HBK vs. Benoit, another Dream Matchup... hopefully for the sole #1 Contendership for the WCW RAW Title.

You just know that if that was the stip, that it would end in a draw somehow.

Awesome match. This looked brutal as all hell. Flair and Benoit ran one grueling match. I think it's a credit to Benoit that Flair trusted him enough for the rolling suplexes, to say nothing of the top rope one. I was shocked by that, just because I don't think Flair should be taking any kind of risks like that.
I wondered about the blood on Flair early in the match. Did he get cut by the chops, like by a fingernail?
On the downside, here's Benoit with a great win over Flair, to just get put down by Michaels and that lame kick. I'd love to see him torture Michaels Monday night, but that's not too likely to happen.

Now I'm starving
I'm about to turn it up a notch!
