I saw it this afternoon. It
was a little slow and got a
little clumsy here and there.
Overall, I liked it.
Thunderlips guessed right away
because he was privy to
hearing it was this year's
Sixth Sense.

I'm sorry, I hated it a lot. I called it at the beginning, and any movie that resorts to loud violin screeching when it wants you to be scared, as it has that little faith in its imagery, sucks ass, in my opinion.
I also generally dislike movies where the reveal is the movie. Everything leads up to it, and then when you see it again, it doesn't have the impact of the first time. Shit like the Sixth Sense are a prime example. Fight Club, however, stands on its own whether you know the secret or not.
Ghosts of Ghosts of Ghosts of Ghosts that don't want to tell other Ghosts that they're Ghosts because otherwise they wouldn't have a two hour movie.

I know precisely what you're talking about Pooter. Here's how I explain it- The Sixth Sense was based around the twist, the twist was based around Fight Club. By this I mean without the twist Sixth Sense was nothing, the movie was just for the twist. In Fight Club the twist was part of the movie rather THAN the movie.

I liked The Others. I saw it saturday. I found it very predictable (ok, the only thing I didn't see coming was that the old woman was a medium at a seance), but I thought it was well paced, nice imagery and nice scenery.
