I was reading on 411mania.com/wrestling that the WWE is considering making it a triple threat between HBK HHH and Benoit for the title at WrestleMania...what would you guys think if they did that....it sounds good on paper but HHH and Shawn have been involved in so many matches together that shawn might as well step aside....sorry about the lack of a link btw...idk how to do that

Thats bullshit and totally ruins the concept of the Rumble. If this happens Vince is a fucking idiot.

Benoit might actually win this way. He can pin Michaels and face him in April in canada at the ppv. You know he is not pinning HHH

I agree with Fallon. Benoit deserves that shot just 1 on 1, no bullshit 3 way dance. If this happens if will prolly be a 3 man knockout like what happened at the Rumble with HBK and Trips

Probablility of Benoit pinning HBK= 50/50
Probablility of Benoit pinning HHH= 0

Do the math

If anything, HBK and Triple H will face off again on RAW for the title, with possibly HBK going into WrestleMania as the champ and Triple H finding a way to enter himself in too. Now I know those chances are very slim, but WWE has so made so many last minute decisions, I don't know what to believe any more.

Very true. But how many times have they messed around with the Rumble winner leading up to WrestleMania?

1997- Winner- Steve Austin
Due to the screwjob ending involving Austin and Bret Hart, they had a "Final Four" match that was originally going to have the winner go on and face the champion at WM involving Austin, Bret, Vader and 'Taker. They wound up making the winner the WWF champ due to HBK losing his smile. Hart won, but he lost the title the very next night to Sid Vicious. Sid defended the title against 'Taker and Austin faced Hart.

1999-Winner-Vince McMahon
Vince immediately stated that he would vacate his WM spot. Austin won the WM spot by beating McMahon at the next PPV.

2000- Winner-The Rock
What a clusterfuck this turned into. Rocky won the Rumble, but the last man he eliminated, the Big Show, protested and said that Rocky's feet hit the floor. The Show defeated the Rock at the next PPV to earn the WM spot. Then Rocky beat Show to win it back on Raw. But the match was announced as a Triple Threat match between Rocky-Big Show-Triple H. Linda McMahon later included Mick Foley to make this a Fatal Four Way.

So history has proven that the winner of the Royal Rumble really doesn't mean anything.

It was also a storyline possibility in Wrestlemania 2000 on the N64

Mike I just don't want to see a three way at WMXX... I hated the Fatal 4 Way in 2000 with a McMahon in each corner and I would hate it if that happened. If I was Benoit and heard that they wanted to change this match into a Triple Threat I would be offended in that they would not believe I could main event alone and get a large enough pop from the MSG crowd.

Like everyone has said... one on one... Benoit deserves it and it has to be clean! you hear me WWE, a clean finish and victory!

I don't look at it as a knock against Benoit. It just shows that Hunter cannot work with Benoit alone. Hunter isn't good enough. Benoit is way ahead of him.

get hhh out of there and let benoit and hbk main event mania. actually now that im thinking about it, wmxx will the the tenth anniversary of the ladder match. and hbk- hall at wmx was the greatest match ever. lets see hbk and benoit settle this thing with the belt hanging high above the ring and the only way to reach it is with the use of the ladder.

I will be incredibly pissed if they wind up going this way.

If they do go this route, you KNOW it will only be to protect HHH from doing the job. It'll also further delegitimize Benoit.

If they've got such a hard-on to throw Michaels into the mix, have a match between Benoit & Michaels, or let Michaels challenge HHH for the title one "final" time before Mania, but keep the WMXX title match pure.

When I was younger, Wrestlemania seemed to look like a new era for another wrestler to head the fed. But all that has changed as Triple H can't seem to know when his time has come to sit back and enjoy the show. I don't even think I want to watch Wrestlemania now. I was mad enough when they didn't book the Benoit-Lesnar match that everyvody wanted, now this.

I was also just reading on 411 that HHH is trying to get out of losing to Benoit....he'd rather have Shawn get pinned than get pinned himself....the wrestlers are pretty pissed at Hunter for doing that...actually I've defended Hunter before but I can't on this one I mean it's better when you lose the title by getting pinned....I guess maybe he doesn't want to put Benoit over himself but use Shawn to do it...if you ask me that's pretty cowardly...any thoughts
