But occasionaly I enjoy posting here to amuse myself.
It seems RonFez.net has again begun it's unfair assult on Perrynoid & The Cosmic Circus..
It's ok..at least now OTHERS are seeing this horrific injustice going on here..

explain why my off topic thread named "water cooler moments" was locked?

There were 3 Janet Jackson threads..
mine- roosters- and jocefus.
both of our posts got locked-
roosters remained..despite being posted AFTER mine.
Mine was off topic and theirs were in entertainment.
are the power hungry mods now locking posts that are in the wrong section?

My post was the FIRST Janet Jackson post.

the funniest part for me was - 3 minutes later reading the Rooster & Jocefus posts wich sounded like the exact conversation I had developed/made fun of... in my post...prior to any knowledge of roosters post.

Perry, I was curious so I sought out the thread to decide for myself whether or not it should be locked.

I think the title "Water Cooler Moments" is definetly clever and the idea is there.

However, the body of the thread was totally confusing. No offense, just my opinion.

Ok guys, we do not just lock threads to lock threads.

If there are threads already open about a topic we normally lock the newer threads. Now if the original thread had fewer responses someone may lock the original and keep the thread with the responses open.

Overall I think people need to chill on the shock posts, it is childish and it is getting very old. Now this is my opinion and I just may be an old fart, but this is not the nature of the show and should not be the nature of the board.

It is our job as mods to review threads see if they are getting out of hand and take necessary measures that we see fit. From locking, moving, or deleting posts or threads. It all comes down to common sense and some decency for our other members.

So trust me we have better things to do than lock threads.

The first thread isn't always the one we lock. If one has a misleading title, we're more apt to keep the straightforward one because people know what the thread is about and are more likely to read and reply to it. It depends when the mod sees the thread(s), which has more replies, etc.

I think "water cooler moments" is a pretty good title, but not for that topic.

Is spreading rumors about people the nature of the show jaf?

Does Ron and Fez block unfunny calls? if they did...no one from DC..(me included would EVER get on)

Perry, it WAS a good title.

And yes, yours was first.

But like Jon said, first doesn't always matter.

The "people" had chosen, and they had chosen Rooster's thread on the topic, seeing as it had like 8 replies already, and pics, and yours had nothing when it was locked.

All the threads I've locked in recent days were simply because they were variations on active threads already existing on the board.

Now quiting wasting space and time with an umpteenth "why was my thread locked" thread. If it was such a big deal, you should have IMed/PMed/e-mailed me. I have all that info readily available and my name was listed as the locker of the thread.
