Department Liquidation!

I found out today that the department where I work is being eliminated! They announced it to us as a group and fortunatly its a union, but within a week or so, I'll be sat down and given my options. Out of 14 people, 9 full timers and 5 part timers, 4 1/2 will be given, by seniority, the option to go to Brooklyn to work, a few will be given the ability to go to other departments, the rest will be let go or excessed. Im hoping Im in the group that goes to Brooklyn, but I am very scared of what my future holds for me and ask that if you have any prayers that you say them for me. Im having a great deal of anxiety right now!

Thats the thing, I have no control, its all in the hands of others and their decisions, if 4 who are senior before me decide to go to Brooklyn, I'll have to go back to meter reading or worse and Im really hoping that I dont have to do that job again! But, if it means not having a job, I'll do it until I find something else. I know that I have the option that others wish they had, as most are just "let go", and for that, Im gratefull. Still, I dont expect to sleep too well tonite!

The fish lady may be going with me to Brooklyn, but somehow, I dont think the fish is going. I hardly got any sleep last night, and now I wake up to a foot of snow on the ground. Greeeeaaaat
