I usually get the major auction results in Autoweek, Automobile magazine, and Road & Track. Just saw an old test mule Corvette from 1955 go across the block for over $1 million with original GM documentation showing it as a one-off car (had a bunch of speed equipment GM was toying around with at the time; fuel-injected V-8, 4-speed, etc.).
