It's incredable how far computers have come in 20 years. (http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/ptech/01/23/mac.birthday/index.html)

Once you go Mac, you never go back!
You lost one of the flock with me. I grew up using Apples & Macs. I stuck with Macs through my undergraduate and graduate years and never thought I'd switch. I did make the switch once I hit the real world, because at the time, some of the proprietary applications used in my office were incompatible with Macs. At this point, I can't ever see myself returning to the Mac.

One of my old roommates in high school got a Mac in 1984 (at the start of the 12th grade). Made a huge impression with me - I had my own within a year.
Since then (1985), through today, I have owned 5 Macs, and plan to buy a sixth (G5) within the next month or so.
My first real job out of college was all Mac (they did a lot of print work), so it wasn't until I left there in 1997 that I had to deal with the horrible, horrible world of PCs. Recently I went back to the old job, and sure enough - they are still with Macs.
Today I have a PC laptop that I use for some specific things, and a Mac desktop which (like I said) I will be upgrading. I have had more problems with this laptop in the 9 months that I've had than I've had with the the 19 years of owning Macs.

I used to swear by Macs for film/sound editing...up until about a year ago. Now the PC's have even passed them on that.

At home, I've got the P4 running on teh desktop and the Mac running on the laptop.
And Mojo, iLife has made editing easy for everyone on the mac.

Editing was always easy on the Mac. I've just found the software available on the PC for sound/film editing to finally be either compatible or even better than what's on the Mac, after lagging behind for so many years. It just makes my work easier, since most of the other people I'm working with or shopping around to have PC's readily available more often than Macs.
I just wish I could still use my Amiga.
Or, better yet..."my friends are knocking down my door...to get into my Commodore 64!!!"

I use to love playing "Art Of War" on my friend's Mac back in the early 80's, but I was a Commodore man myself.
