[sorry, no time for a cartoon this month...]
THUNDER! LIGHTNING! QUEENSRYCHE'S REVOLUTION CALLING!
[Out walks JustJon in a blazer, pants, a button down shirt and sunglasses. As he stands there, out come the other members of the Revolution to flank him, each carrying their respective belts. They walk down to the ring and pose as the music fades.]
JustJon: It's a new year and a new time for Revolution dominance. Mr. Pants hasn't been seen in over a month, and the Revolution continues to run rampant over his precious RFW. Well, not only are we back for yet another year of domination, but we're here to annouce the next big thing...
THE REVOLUTION RUMBLE!
RFW superstars check in, then they get chucked out. You are all invited to attempt to win the RFW World Championship at Wrestlemania... if you can survive the onslaught. But just to make things more interesting, we're introducing the Revolution Wild Card, RFW World Champion Hosp will be a competitor in the match, and if he wins, then we pick his opponent. In fact, let's start picking numbers right now!
[Fallon pulls out a hat full of papers. Hosp picks one, looks at it and takes a pen being offered by Trojan Rabbit. Hosp writes on the paper and holds it up.]
Hosp: NUMBER 30!
JustJon: NUMBER 30! Congratulations! And I'd like to take this time to announce that the rest of the Revolution will be entering the Rumble this Sunday
[Each of them take a number from the hat and write on it with the pen]
JJ: NUMBER 29!
Fallon: 28!
Rabbit: NUM-BAH 27!
[Tall James is about to speak when Jon sees what he wrote]
JJ: James, that's not a number.
James: I know, but I want to bring gold to my new team and show the Administration what they could have had!
JJ: Well, then.... [James holds up the paper that reads THE DUFF] Sunday, James brings the IC Title home to the Revolution!
2004 is the year of the Revolution! Get out of the way or get tossed!

I dont get it.
If it doesn't affect my tag title match w/ Cozmo, where we WILL win back OUR belts, then I'm in #1

I dont get it.
30 entrants enter the ring at 2 minute intervals. You lose if you are thrown over the top or pinned. Last man standing gets a title shot at mania. Putting the world champ in there is the Revolution's Wild Card.
If it doesn't affect my tag title match w/ Cozmo, where we WILL win back OUR belts, then I'm in #1
I don't recall the champs ever offerring you a rematch.

They don't have to offer a rematch, we are taking it. Noone ever, and I mean EVER asked me or Cosmo who we wanted to fight. Nor will nyone ask the new Chumps. We have a rematch this sunday, don't try and punk out of it.
Need you be reminded we are/were the longest running champs in the history of this Fed.
We wil get our titles back sunday.

Matches are up.
There's 2 matches to bet on and the Rumble is worth 10 pts, but there's only the top 3 Raw and SD. If none of them come in, it'll be no points subtracted. If one of them does, it's 10 if you're right, -5 if you're not.

I'm pretty psyched to become the rumble winner! Sure, I've got next to no chance to win, but surprises do happen.
Almost as much as I will be to get the IC title shot I earned. I will defer to the former champion, RFM, if he wants his rematch, but then I have my chance at whomever then holds the Intercontinental championship.

Player matches didn't go in until tonight because only people who made picks were getting into the Rumble. A match against Hosp for his World Title is not a prize deemed lightly.

I'm back baby! I got all the matches right except Trips and HBK cuz it was basically a draw.
Was that match a scratch?

Damn me for picking Goldberg over Benoit. All decisions are based on wwe.com and of course, they list it as "HHH retained the World Heavyweight Championship" since I didn't see what happened to make a good judgment. Was it a real draw or some cheesy DQ thing?

Was it a real draw or some cheesy DQ thing?Jon, basically they are both bloodied and as Trips comes charging at HBK he hits the Sweet Chin Music... Earl Hebner counts both of them out to the 10 count. Trips retains the title.
Pretty solid 23 minute match IMO.

Pedigree to HBK followed by a Superkick to HHH. Both fall down and don't get up. Triple H retains since he was the champ. I say since HHH still has the belt he is the winner.

If we really wanted to make this game challenging, there should be different choices for matches involving the Raw Title:
( ) Pedigree out of nowhere...1,2,3.
( )Cheap, meaningless ending that allows HHH to retain without a clean pin which would make a buddy look bad (ex: Countout, Countdown, Sledgehammer DQ)
Also, congrats to RFFatTony, RonFezMark, Tazz, Walking Joint, & Winter Embers for their perfect picks at the Rumble.
'Toolman...ouch!...but at least you picked the right month to have bad luck, there was no title on the line.

The scores weren't posted, but it's a slow day at the lab & I was bored so I ran the numbers the old fashion way. Don't quote me, because I was technically "working" on & off while doing these, but here's what I came up with:
#1: TheDuff (28) retains the IC Title over Tall_James (17)
#2: Five men go over the top at the end of the Rumble:
Crippler/ RFFatTony/ RonFezMark/ WalkingJoint/ WinterEmbers - 42 (perfect picks & max bets of 20pts. on main events)
Tazz - 40 (perfect picks, wager of 18pts. on main events)
Peachy - 38
Fluff - 35
Knick - 32
Cyber/ Freebird/ Phish - 27
Jester/ JustJon - 24
Hammer - 20
WWFallon - 19
Hosp - 13
Phixion - 12
SuperClerk - 10
TrojanRabbit - 5
Tool - (-23)
Which seems to beg for a Fatal 5-way at nWo, leading to someone's shot at the World Title at Mania. But, I'm not Commish McPants or Triple J (or whomever will be running the show by next PPV), so who knows how it'll work itself out.
All I know is there was a pretty damn good showing by the Legacy (that group just won't die), including former member Peachy. She seems to have let her hair grow out a little, and although no words were exchanged, perhaps she has come out of the downward spiral that came from her Dance With the Devil/Toddster angle. Could a reformation & resurgence of the Legacy be far off?

Well, it seems the official word is double count, and in the past, when there were double count outs, it's considered a tie. I'll do the scores and we'll see the damage.

If it's a tie, does it just not count or get thrown out? I am confused.

Oh yeah, I guess I should have added that...I couldn't remember how it was handled in the past, so I went with my personal feeling that if the champ didn't lose his belt, he won.
So if that match is deemed a tie, or thrown out altogether, there will be an even bigger logjam for winner of our Rumble.
Doesn't matter to me....I was just bored & looking for something to do.

I hate to make my score worse, but this may be one of those situations where betting low was to your advantage. HHH did keep his title, and a draw does favor the champion, but he didn't win either.
People who chose either HHH or Michaels but bet less might be the winners.
Not only should I have not picked Goldberg since he had the "sure winner" spot, but, as a total mark for the faces, I shouldn't have picked against Benoit. Picking against Tazz in the RFW is always a bad idea..I think he's the highest natural scorer in the league!!:)
Congrats to all the winners!!
