A few years ago, I was coming out of my pct. and slipped on a patch of ice. I hit my elbow but I broke my wrist with the shock of the fall!!! Shit, that hurt!!!!

Last time i 'went down' hard was when i was cleaning the basement floor after the sump pump failed and i got some flooding. I used a 'gloss' finish paint and when it's dry it's really not that slippery, but when it's wet it's very slippery.

Took it like a champ and didn't get hurt. Guess some of this extra bodyfat is good for something....

Anyway, 3 years ago I was playing basketball and in the process of jumping up to grab a rebound I got undercut while in the air. So by the time I hit the ground, my elbow broke my fall but I landed sideways and bruised a rib (but at the time I thought I broke it). That bitch hurt like hell and everytime I inhaled/exhaled I was hurting. My doctor prescribed me pain-killers or a steroid (I forgot which). It took me like 3 weeks for me to get healed.

Scary how quickly a slip can be a life altering event. I guess I could have easily fallen face down and broke my face, or been knocked out or had a concussion or broken bone, even crippled I guess.
