I really don't like how they rotate the game to southern states or domed stadiums. the game should be played at the home team. calling the Patriots the home team in Houston is stupid.

They cant do it like that. People have hotels reserved years in advance. Its like the biggest single event in the country every year. Also they dont want a Superbowl to be fucked over by the weather. I personnaly would like to see it the snow at NE but nobody cares what i want

The way things are going I wouldn't be surprised if they played the SuperBowl out of the States in the near future like how they play some NFL games in other countries just to promote the sport.

Given the amount of revenue that the game generates for the surrounding area, I highly doubt that will happen anytime in the near future.

the game should be played at Gilette Stadium in Foxboro, but unfortunatly the NFL is gay and decides to host their biggest game at a neutral site

I think that all the great Superbowls are played in the snow. Its so much cooler and really proves that NFL players are incredible athletes when they play in 3 degree weather while its snowing like crazy. New England, Bufallo, Green Bay...thats where the Superbowl should be played.

they should just rotate and not discriminate against the cold weather areas. bad weather evens things up a little.

It is not about the weather for the game but all of the events that lead up to the Superbowl. All of the parties, golf tourneys, promotions, as noted before the Superbowl generates tons of money for the city who hosts it.
That is why Atlanta was such a bust when they had the ice storm a few years ago.

then what about when they held it in Detroit? that apparently wasn't a bust because the superbowl is going to be there again, either XXXX or XXXXI, i don't remember which.

I believe the Super Bowl should be played at the stadium of the team with the better record. I like how true home field advantage and the elements come into play in the game. For example, the mystique of Yankee Stadium, the cold of Fenway Park or the heat and noise in the old Boston Garden.

i could understand that they would like to have the stadium booked for the super bowl a year in advance. it allows people to book hotels and such. but i have problems with football being played in warm climates or in domes stadiums. football is meant to be a sport that endures all forms of weather, and they abandon that philosophy for the biggest game of the year. i mean i would love the super bowl being played at lambeau, its football for the purists.

It should be played in a neutral stadium, but every stadium in the country should have an equal oppurtunity, proving of course that the surrounding area is capable of supporting the huge numbers of people. A city like Pittsburgh would benefit so so so much from having the Super Bowl, but Landover, MD is completely unable to host the game. No hotels, the beltway, one road leading to and from the stadium. It gives me terrors just thinking about it.

It should be in a neutral site each year. Maybe someplace without a team, like Cincinnati or Detroit

I agree with Jon, there is enough room in his pants with the obvious lack of balls in there. Play it there, something may as well play in JustJons pants

They should play it in a pit where we can stand above them and dump buckets of razor blades and cookies on them then they could grab a cookie if they got hungry during the game but watch out! it may be a razor blade!

if you don't think the Ice Bowl was one of the best games ever, you don't think
Detroit is a domed stadium i think, that is why the Super Bowl will be played there. I like cold weather games second to only games with downpours of rain. Since it can't really rain in late January, let it snow.

i think the superbowl should be played in hawaii or in miami
Nobody but New Englanders like watching games in the snow.
Build a dome and you can have the game in your crappy town. Until then the South and West own the Super Bowl.

They should really take a hint from Baseball and yes, eventhough it is the Pro Bowl and time for al the big ego's in the NFL to stroke theirs, have the winner of the Pro Bowl be the host of the Super Bowl the following year. I would really enjoy that. At least have a cold weather Super Bowl. That would be incredible. Who really goes to these games anyway? Fans? Maybe 30%. The rest of them are all the rich corporate scum.

I thought it was. I just got the Green Bay Packers History DVD and the entire Ice Bowl is on there. Really really cool game to watch!

Sir, Cincinnatti HAS a team. It is just this year that they have had a respectable season for the first time since 1990. I guess the Packers were just playing with themselves on Thanksgiving since Detroit has a new stadium but no team to play in it.
Oh wait, NOW I get it. You were trying to be funny.
