Jets Extend Coach Edwards' Contract

The New York Jets announced Thursday the contract of Head Coach Herman Edwards has been extended by two seasons. As per Club policy, the terms of the contract were undisclosed.

"This is the only team I really want to coach for," Edwards said of the Jets. "People say that, but I truly believe that."

Edwards is very grateful for the opportunity.



I hope Herm takes a class in clock management. Then, for the love of God, get rid of Hackett.

I really want Hackett to be shot instead of just fired. I think the only reason he is successful is that Chad doesn't always use the play Hackett calls for.

What else could explain the fact that the calls he made when Vinny was quarterback and the calls he made when Chad was quarterback? When Vinny was playing, they would need 8 yards and get 6, or they would need 2 yards and get none. But I didn't see that at all when Chad was playing.

im sorry i dont get how anyone can say this is a bad move. he may not have the greatest understanding of x's and o's but they play for him. i mean sure defense needs help, but i think once they get younger at line backer the defense will become much much better. and our offense is okay, but again thats hacketts fault, how about we hire fassel? ha ha ha
