my mother used to play the lottery. she once won like six thousand dollars. she only got half, though.

once, my uncle made my aunt believe they had won one million dollars. she beat him up when she found out that he was lying.

I won a 2 grand playing Lotto a few years ago. I do still play once in a while.
I loved it when somebody called the lottery "the idiot tax", that was pretty funny.

I have never, ever won any game of any kind that is based solely on luck. I can't even win on those crappy roulette wheels they have on the boardwalk down the shore. But I must admit that when the lottery hits obscene amounts of money (like the recent big game prize of 295 million) I do buy a few.

I usually don't win anything either, except for only one time I remember. It was at the end of high school, right after our trip to NYC. We all got back in the morning and the school held this random raffle, where they gave away a mini-fridge, tv, etc, basically college stuff. Anyway, my name was the 3rd one called, and I won a cd player boombox. I was so happy.
