there's a company out there that sells conversion kits to make the Delorian look like the one in the movie.

I've always wanted to boost the rims off a DeLorean. It's like the holy grail of auto parts theft.

Save your money.I'll tell you where they hid the coke,then you can buy thereal one from the movie.

p.s. I believe it was 86 m.p.h. And isn't it ironically
"funny" how it is so much easier to believe that terrorists pull into a suburban shopping mall and start blowing away people?

Christ; I wish it was 1980 all over again. I wanna go back in time..........pun certainly intended!

It's 88 mph, not 86 mph. And the movie took place in 1985. Definatly one of the best movies to come out of the 80's. Nothing beats a good 80's movie. MY friend is working on a BTTF game, but I don't know if he'll ever get anywhere with it.

How come when Marty went back to the 1880's and the Indians arrow went into the gas tank, they didnt take the gas that was in the Delorian that Doc buried in the cave if they needed a fuel so bad?

Gee Blackbird, this question is like deja vu all over again. :)

Anyway, what was the Doc using to power that machine that made the ice cubes?

The car always ran on regular gasoline, but the "Flux Capacitor" is a different system.

In BTTF 1 the "Flux Capacitor" runs on plotonium, but when Doc goes to the future at the end of 1, he hooks up "Mr Fusion"and the FC runs on garbage. They had garbage but didn't have the power to get it up to 88 MPH which activates the FC.

That's an error in the logic of the film. some people say they can't disturb the Delorean in the cave (that Doc just packed up in 1885) because it will disrupt Them getting the use the delorean in 1955 to get marty back to 1885. Of course they would only remove the gas, which they would replace in 70 years.

Now when you store a car you need to remove the fluids (oil, anti-freeze, gas, etc) and since Doc is a scientist/mechanic he would know this and should have done so before packing the delorean in the cave. He probably would want to save the gas for an experiment as well.

They could have solved this problem by just saying Doc used the gas in an experiment before Marty showed up, or that it was spilled. It would have taken 10 seconds of film and not cost them anything in terms of props or special effects.

Anyway, what was the Doc using to power that machine that made the ice cubes?

Steam

I'm pretyy suret he Doc did drain the fluids. He was there are a few months before Marty showed up. Marty went back to September 1885, but the Doc got there in November. Even if he did keep the gas for some other reason, it would have been used up by then. They didn't explain it because drain car fluids before storing a car is common knowledge.

Take your movie pills!

But some oils under goode conditions last decades, so that's my rationalization. neener neener.

At the risk of bringing up math; for whoever asked what a gigawatt is, i guess most of you know

mega = million = M = 10^6 aka Megawatt or Megabyte

giga = billion = G = 10^9 aka Gigawatt or Gigabyte

next step up [another 3 orders of magnitude aka 1,000 aka 10^12] is

tera = trillion = T = Terawatt or Terabyte
