About 7 or 8 years ago I
worked in a little store in
Chelsea. We were right across
the street from Barneys so the
"beautiful people" were always
stopping by:
Kyle McLoughlin (must dye his
hair-- he's *SO* gray!)
Paulina Poreskova (Ric
Okasek's wife) Really nice and
down to earth. Had this way
cool retro bike (think Pee Wee
Herman)
Marlo Thomas-- major bitch!
One of the only times I used
the "c" word to describe
another woman.
Lisa Sliwa-- I know, B, if not
C-list celeb. But she did wear
a size large in her thongs.
Suzanne Vega-- I know her bra
size but I respect her too
much to reveal it.
Laurie Anderson-- really nice
and down to earth. Lou Reed
was with her. "Laurie, I'm
goin' outside for a
cigarette..." That celeb
sighting impressed me the most.
Susan Sarandon-- I actually
stood behind her on line at
the Value Drug on 7th ave &
14th Street. She bought Crest
toothpaste and an Easter egg
dying kit.
I was on the concert committee
in college and got to meet the
Ramones, the Church and some
other bands...
What celeb sightings have you had?

Kyle McLoughlin (must dye his hair-- he's *SO* gray!) - Did you yell out "How's Annie?" or "Pabst Blue Ribbon!"

i met clea duvall at a show.
i bumped into parker posey on the street.
i met scott thompson once...wanted to ask him for an autograph but i didn't want to seem like a big dork.
i met harmy korine once and told him how much i hated his films.
i once asked rivers cuomo to marry me. i'm not lying. i really did.
i met joan jett (she's the greatest. she signed my "what would joan jett do?" t-shirt)
i got to say hi to the woman who did jem's voice.
i once stood next to susan sarandon at a protest to save a community center on the lower east side in manhattan. she seems like an awesome person.
i met one of the cast members from the real world san francisco. i was shopping with my mother in the city and my mother noticed this girl...she went berserk. she was like, "oh my god! it's the girl from the real world!" argh. i guess she's not a celebrity though. i don't know. i don't know why but my mother was a big real world fan back then.
etc...
correction: that's supposed to be harmony korine, the guy who wrote the screenplay for "kids" and director of other various crap (gummo, julien donkey-boy).

whenever my friend sees a celebrity or someone who looks like a celebrity, she tries to follow them to see where they are going.
i would never do that, though. unless it's christopher walken or rivers cuomo.

If that were the case then I'd be friends with Jennifer Lopez (my friend from college was in theatre in high school and knew Jennifer Lopez. I've met here less known sister, Leslie, a teacher, numerous times.)
Oh yeah, I also met Jerry O'Connell (jerry Maguire, Slider). He bought his mom a present from the store.
My mom met Burt Bacharach 30 years ago. So somehow I'm know Angie Dickenson via proxy.

I met Chaz Palmanteri when he spoke at my high school. He's a very cool gentleman.
I haven't really met any other famous people.
I saw Janeane Garafalo walk by a restaurant I was in. She is incredibly fuckable.
I also saw the father from "The Nanny" in a parade at Disneyworld, does that count?

Can't believe i forgot about this one, Sheldon Turnipseed from the original "Ghostwriter" series on PBS spoke to the drama club at my school.
I dare anyone to get a more obscure celebrity sighting that one.

Someone start a thread about Ghostwriter. I could talk about that show endlessly. GABBY WAS A STUPID CUNT!
And a computer virus alert for everyone: To stop a hacker, challenge them to a word game where you cheat by having 90 of your friends group around your Commodore 64 to defeat him in "Ghost". They'll change their evil ways if you win. That's how it works in real life.

Oh thank God Pootertoot. You have helped me realize that I am NOT the only one. For years, YEARS I've thought that Janeane was really, really fuckable and attractive and thought I was weird. There's something about her that just makes me want her and I thought I was wrong. Now I know that if I'm wrong, your'e wrong.

I met Peter Costa, who played the little white kid from the Cosby Show, who was also named Peter. He hates Bill Cosby and at the time I met him, was going to school up in CT. He was taking shots and all I kept asking him was what it was like to ride on Bill Cosby's leg like it was a horse in that one episode...

I'm sure I have other stories in the back of my brain, but years and years ago, my family was at Disneyworld around New Year's and one night around dinner time, we went back to the hotel, and when we stepped out of the elevator, Alan Thicke was there.
