For the 99.9% of you who understandably ignore my threads, Ron told me yesterday that they've got Bruce Campbell of "Bubba Ho-Tep" and the "Evil Dead" trilogy booked for a phone interview tomorrow, Thursday, around 7:35. I'm assuming WB will get the credit or blame for getting or losing the booking. Bruce is doing the interview to plug Bubba Ho-Tep, but also bear in mind he's in both of the Spiderman movies, and is good friends with Sam Raimi who directed both of them. He's also well known to be a real nice guy and very funny. Should be a good interview.
Alright you primitive screw-heads, listen up. See this? This is my boomstick! It's a 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan; retails for about one hundred nine, ninety-five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right, shop smart, shop S-Mart!

Bruce uber alles.
Shame it's not in-studio. I guarentee it would have rivaled the Rutger show.

And don't forget he had three guests on yesterday, all related to the Joe Gibbs hiring - Larry and Sonny during the "fastest hour" and the guy from the times during the 7pm hour.
I'd Like To Take Credit For This Turnaround (http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/viewmessages.cfm/Forum/79/Topic/35017/page/Help_Wonderboy_Become_A_Better_Producer_in_2004_.h tm)
Good job WB!
Bruce should be a good interview...Fez can ask him about the Spiderman movies (he's in both, and obviously friends with the director)...they can also ask if he plans to do any more stage work (his first and only time on stage was in Dayton, Ohio in a stage production of SHANE about 2 years ago!!)

Spiderman is one of the top 10 grossing movies ever, but Mole's never heard of it. go fig.
Bruce Campbell always gives great interviews. I'm sorry I'm not going to be able to hear him to to the boys. And if he were in studio, I'm sure they wouldn't Rutger him because he's always interesting to talk/listen to.

I have to agree with Mole. I never got into the evil dead series. The first one was god awful, Ed Wood laughs at that movie. I have heard that Army of Darkness is funny but I have not seen it or wish to waste time watching it.
As for Spiderman he had the important role of the ring announcer that gave "The Amazing Spiderman" his name. I had to look on imdb.
Sorry guys mole is right he is a c grade actor at best.

Crazy talk, Jafter! Evil Dead is a low budget horror masterpiece, and Evil Dead 2 is even better! PAH!
And Bruce is a hellova nice guy who has made his career choices for a reason - to enjoy the life he has. He is not someone who is chomping at the bit looking for his big break, becasue he already loves his life.

I know some people love Evil Dead. I guess I missed that boat. I will stick with my 2 low budget horror classics Halloween and Night of the Living Dead.

Just because something is low budget doesn't mean it is over coming more obstacles to become a good movie. Even if the movie had a big budget with amazing special effects it would stick be a piece of crap.

Bruce is definitely B level. Starred in 2 tv shows for a season (even if neither lasted past a season), co-starred on Hercules and Xena, been part of quite a few cult movies and shows, etc.

Ooooh, I love me some Halloween and NOLTD! I having hanging on my office wall at home a trowel signed by Kyra Schon, who played "Karen 'Trowel Girl' Cooper" from the original Night of the Living Dead (the lil girl). Very nice, and very funny - got to sing happy birthday to her last October.
AND...speaking of NOLTD, and a resource for potential guests, the annual Horrorfind Convention in Balmer has announced some guests (Bruce was a hit there in the past), and this year the big name is George Romero! (http://www.horrorfindweekend.com/celebrities.html)

I have no idea why Ron cut it so short; if it was planned to be a few minutes only, or if he just didn't think it was going anywhere. I had a bunch of questions I wanted to ask. Eh well.
And the point of a B movie is that you can't take it seriously. Evil Dead was done by three 20 year-old guys with $150k to shoot in 1979. It was supposed to be a cheezy horror flick and it was. But what it also did was show that Sam Raimi had a real talent for filmmaking that he would develop by making films that are entertaining and original leading up to the Spiderman films of today. Evil Dead is bad and good at the same time, but the good stuff outweighs the bad by a longshot if you give it a chance.

And I think Evil Dead 2 (which is basically a remake of the first one) is an actual GOOD spooky movie.
Hey, who would have thought that Peter Jackson would be able to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, based just Dead Alive?

Only about 20 minutes, unfortunately.
I'm not a big fan of call in guest posts on ANY radio show. Both the hosts and guests never seem to fully get "into it", and it cuts down on any callers being able to call in for the guest.
That said, Bruce was funny and quick. For what it was, it was a good interview.

What do you base this on? Ratings? Their numbers have only gone up in DC as far as I know. The quality of the show? I disagree. The last two weeks have been great shows, among their best in DC in my opinion.
