What do you think of those I love the 70s and 80's things they show about 1000 times a day on VH1? I think they're kinda cool because I like learning about all of the things that went on back then because it's all before my time....if only they'd stop playing them as much

The 80's ones were pretty cool cause I got to see all the stuff I had when I was little. Old He Man action figures and the old LEGOS and all that shit. I havent seen the ones for the 70's yet.

Actually I thought Ian Black was one of the better ones.
Rich Eisen is good.
That spanish dude from Traffic ( and a million other things ) is good too.
I hate the drop ins from Jillian Braberie.
I have balls !!!

they suck balls. living in those generations suck balls. the funny thing is vh1 is targeting a demographic that wasn't born then, thrown in a few comics and washed up nobodies, and you have 1/2 hr eye candy. they are not cool.

Get rid of Donal Logue's unfinished thoughts on 80's strike back, otherwise I enjoy tuning in to them. I don't sit and watch, I'll toss on 5min here or there, before it gets too annoying.

They are fun to watch in little bits and pieces. Since I can cover both decades, I like thinking "Oh, that's when that was on (or playing)" or "I remember that!" or the ever popular "Omigod! I forgot about that!".
What really gets me is the smug attitude of some of these comments like "oh they were so stupid then, but we're so cool now." Face it, we just have new fads now...they certainly aren't any better...most of them anyway. :)
Chris Jericho was on one show I saw....and that's always worthwhile.

That's Donal Logue. His original claim to fame was being the greasy taxi driver in MTV promos.

And he was great in "The Tao of Steve".

the 80's were really entertaining, just becuase more mundane crap happened. The 70's one i thought was a little weak.
The only thing worthwhile from the 70's (aside from punk):

i don't know, man. Somebody oughta tell him that sarcasm is funny when you don't use it in EVERY sentence. the whole "i'm kinda gay, but i won't tell you but you know already" thing is just getting stupid.
