New School Metal

Ive always been a big music fan from 50's music to punk, to Insane clown posse, to white zombie. BUT new school metal is REALLy getting old, as with rap.
Bands like godsmack , creed, alien ant farm, well, they just really dont have it. Their voices all sound the same, all of the metal is about HATE and SWEARING when it could be about peace, or exploitation of subjects, or they could make all spaced out pink floyd/radiohead type music.
Well, the point im trying to make is that, NEW MUSIC NEEDS TO GET BETTER!!
This isnt applying just to new school metal, this is applying to all new school music.

is it me or has every hard sounding (grunge, metal, rock/rap) band since the early 90s tried to sound exactly like EDDIE VEDDER (Pearl Jam)?
That strained low voice seems to be everybody's friggin' voice...I.E. Godsmack, Creed,..etc.

Why do we have to categorize it at all? How great would it be to have a radio station that played great songs, no matter what genre? It'll never happen, but that's the way I would like to see it.

How cool would it be to hear '50's music, punk, and White Zombie back to back to back, iscream22? I would love it! But I don't think I would love it if all music was about peace and love. Hate is a powerful emotion, too, and needs to be expressed also. Any type of music aimed at producing change in any way must shock, outrage or anger someone along the way!

I understand what you are talking about gvac, BUT 95% of metal is now about hate. Thats all im saying.
