I'm sure they're doing okay. I wouldn't worry.

However, Do you think Ron and Fez know what the other makes? Or do they sign a deal together and make the same amount?

I would guess, yes. They have the same agent.

Well, I'm guessing they are not so rich that they can't turn down the lucrative radio commercial, nor are they so rich that they can't tell managment what to do when they say "Hey guys! Split your shift!" Also, based on the area of Virginia Fez moved to - it's nice, but it's out near Mojo, so how nice can it really be? - they couldn't be pulling huge money.

However, it is a high profile spot on a top station in a top 10 market and it was an offer they couldn't refuse when push came to shove.

I'm guessing between $400,000 and $500,000 each, which (i'm also guessing) puts them in the same ball park as the Sports Junkies (who also have the same agent as R&F, and O&A, for that matter).

Not D&M, Stern or O&A money, but I'm guessing much more than what they were pulling in Florida. Plus, once the numbers come in, they will have some negotiation room.

Opie and Anthony make 400 dollars every 20 minutes. Their radio show was/will be 4 hours a day. That means they make 4800 a day. Lets say they work about 300 days a year thats 1,440,000 a year. Now that is Opie and Anthony, those guys where the best thing since sliced bread. I would estimate ron and fez make about 1/4 of that a year.

So there you have it, ron and fez each make about 280,000 a year. But what do I know I'm just a chuby mole.

where did you get these numbers from?
My girlfriend asked me this question about a week ago and I did not have an answer. I said that they make between 300,000 and 500,000 a year.

Maybe Fez does not live in such a nice area because he is saving some $$$ in case they get laid off. Its not like it is that easy to find another radio gig that is not a huge step down.

I have no idea where Fez really lives, just by what he's said on the radio - that said, that area isn't bad. He can get a lot for his money out there - that's where some first year Redskins and Wizards buy. It's nice. It's just not the kind of area people making lots of money move to, like McLean, Great Falls or Potomac.

They had to make a fast move, and odds are location in relation to the studio came into play. The average inclome of Fairfax County is $60,000 a year, so even a one bedroom condo is going to cost you a bit of dough, which is why it would make sense for them to move a little further out.

At some point they should consider Falls Church or Arlington or even Alexandria. If they miss the city life, they can get some of that with Arlington these days, without moving into the District - and they won't be that far from Fairfax.

Damn...I'd love to be making $300,000 - $500,00 a year!

Your numbers are suspect, but this is the most unrealistic part. 52 weeks in a year, 5 workdays a week, will get you to 260 days a year. That doesn't even include vacations.

I really don't care what the actual number is, but what ever it is it's not enough for all of the shit the boys have been put through this year. 2 a days, traveling back and forth to NYC, living in a hotel, and putting up with the lawyers. Hopefully very soon the boys will get a nice bump in pay and the ship will start running smoothly.

It is a new year and I see big things happening for the boys in 2004.

Remember to balance what they get paid, which aint none of my business, and aint none of yours, with some of the lovely perks:

-Ron said any NFL Head Coach is, these days, about four straight losses away from having to look for a new gig. Replace Coach with Radio Show and four straight losses with perhaps an equal number of bad books.

-The certainty, not the possibility, but the cretainity of being displaced time and again. Ron and Fez are in Show Business, and the medium happens to be radio. The hacks do radio shows; these are guys who have done the time, and the stage shows, and the humiliations, and the shit remotes forced on you. And stalker fans, and hangers on and the wannabes. It is a long, hard climb for these guys.

That bears repeating: This is a long, hard climb for Ron and Fez.

Success? Inevitable. Already there and back, in my opinion. The truly succesful? Often they think they just suck out loud. You ever hear about Letterman after a show? And it's tough to be more sucesful then that.

A long, hard Climb.

How much? Not enough.

I would think Fez would go with more of a Dodge Carivan or a stationwagon. Just going with the soccer mom thing.

I"m going low side of these guestimates, 100-150 K per year each, plus money for commercial reads. They are doing nights in a very respectable, but not enormous, market. Maybe they get a bonus for the morning gig, but I can't imagine they clear much more than $200, and I'd say the smart money is less than 150K.

At the end of the day they're each handed a two gallon basket of gold coins. They can't reveal that to anyone though. The gold will become cursed if they do (or at least that's what the old witch who lives by the well told me).
