ok so i was given this wwe unscripted book for christmas and i flip to the 1st page. HHH was talking about WWE headquarters putting together old AWA tapes for him, and here is what HHH had to say:

A lot of our guys today just don't understand the buisness. We all grew up huge wrestling fans, and we need to understand why we liked it so much. It was because back then, they told stories, as opposed to just flip, flopping and flying. The guys that make the most money in our buisness have never been the guys that do moonsaults and jump off the top rope and do big dropkicks. It's the guys that tell the best stories that are in the main events, that are on top. We tell guys that all the time, and it's almost like the more we tell them, the more they try to go the other way.

Is this guy fucking serious? First of all he is talking like he isn't part of the talent which obviously he isn't after he married Steph but could you imagine being a colleague of this pompous asshole and having him talk to you like that? And what fucking story is he telling? How to run a wrestling organization into the ground? Maybe if he took a chance once and awhile and performed a big spot here and there some people would respect him. Instead every time i see him wrestle on RAW or something i hear the camera's microphone catch him giving instructions to the jobber of the night. dick.

And what fucking story is he telling?

Fuck an heiress, be set for the rest of your career. Duh. ;p

Even though a lot of folks wish that Trips would just shut up, I encourage him to keep speaking up. His quotes give me nothing but complete amusement.

I'll now sit back and await Bradshaw's subsesquent Hunter-ass-kissing. :eg:

but to tell stories in the ring, don't you have to sell injuries and near death experiences (car drop by Austin).

At leas Jeff Jarret gives up the belt once in a while, he knows that you have to do it to make the fueds more exciting

Sounds like the guys talking to Booker, RVD, and Y2J who are the only reason people still watch Raw in the first place.

Nice story Hunter. What's the moral? Be as greedy as you can and run everyone else into the ground?

I agree with him. I like the guys who do the high spots, but I enjoy a match that has a storyline better. I rank the HHH vs HBK match on Raw only a notch below the Benoit vs Angle match this year.

Yes, Trips is right when he says that it's most important to tell a story in the ring.

The problem is, Trips fucking SUCKS at telling a story in the ring unless he's got someone like Michaels to bump like a madman for him.....in fact, Michaels seems to be the ONLY guy who can pull a decent match out of Trips these days.....

......but that just explains why MICHAELS is great, and Trips is not.

Let's not forget that RVD was the other worker to put on a good match against HHH during the whole "Rampaging Kane" development on Raw a few months back.
