Okay, my bro just got back from California the other day and brought me back 2 In&Out burgers (1 regular and the other a double cheese). I know it's not exactly "fresh " of the grill, but it was okay. My bro says that when you get it "fresh" the bun is crispy.

Now the 2 burgers I got were cold (the plane trip to the east coast will do that to you), the bun wasn't "crispy" and due to moisture was too doughy. It was like there was MORE bread than actually meat. I'll hold off on my verdict until I actually get a "hot" one when I go to Cali in the future.

P.S. Is smuggling burgers from coast to coast illegal? Cuz everytime my peeps from Cali come here they always bring back a case of White Castles on their return trip home. Anyone else do stuff like this?

When I went to Vegas I sat next to a woman who had a case of "Hellman's Mayonnaise" to bring to her family on the west coast. Apparently most of the west coast does not offer that type of mayo. That is so odd to me being that Hellman's is usually regarded as the best stuff available.

This woman needn't have gone to the trouble. We have Hellman's out here, it's just called "Best Foods" and it's available everywhere. That she would fly that stuff out is rigoddamndiculous.

As for In 'N Out Burgers, they don't have them in Oregon, so I have no opinion. The food on the East Coast is, by and large, vastly superior to anything you'll find in California. And I'm saying that as a lifelong West Coast guy. After spending a week in Manhattan recently, I'm shocked everyone there isn't obese. The only place the food is better is New Orleans.
