Does anyone else have to work on Christmas?

I'm off today, because I took leave. Christmas is a national holiday, and Bush gave all federal employees off on friday. So that was going to be 5 days off using only 8 hours of leave. But with the threat level going to Orange, I have to work tomorrow and sunday.

Sucks.

Anyone else?

I have to work today. Doesn't look like they're letting us out early, either. Also have to work Friday, and New Year's Eve. There's absolutely nothing to do, since everyone else has off. But they gave us pizza today. So fucking generous.

we're open when the stock market's open - that means an early dismissal today (2pm I think) and normal hours on Friday. I took them both as vacation days though (still losing 4 days that I never took this year :-( )

We're not getting out early either. From what some of the old timers here tell me, it's the first time in over 29 years that haven't let us out early on Christmas Eve. It looks like we'll be working Friday too. This being the case, I'm not expecting to go home early on New Year's Eve.

Although, I should say, this is my first extended vacation in over 15 months... I worked Christmas Eve (unpaid, no less) last year, so I'm fully enjoying my 2 1/2 week break.

Same here. Stock Market closed at 1PM today so we're getting out at 2!

The stock market closes at 1PM on 12/31 and 1/2 as well so I'm hoping for short days then as well (but since I just started im not getting paid holidays and am paid by the hour so the next two paychecks are gonna suck)
