View Full Version : Fruit Brute vs Yummy Mummy

Those who remember the old General Mills monster cereals will recall Fruit Brute and Yummy Mummy. Gwen and I got into a debate as to which is superior.
I content that Fruit Brute could outsmart and outfight his bandaged counterpart, while she puts forth the argument that the Brute would change back to human and the Yummy Mummy would take out the hapless, fruitless victim.
What do you think?

C'mon people. Besides the fact that Jon and I need to a) get a life and b) get more "involved" jobs you KNOW the mummy would strangle the human counterpart of the Fruit Brute once the full moon disappears.

With the exception of the whole "curse" thing, I never understood what was supposed to be scary or threatening about a Mummy. Even in those old "The Mummy Returns" type movies they seemed to have the physical prowess of my great uncle who used to "chase" us around with his walker.
My money's on the Brute... whether man or beast.

exactly, ozzie. The Brute already has the curse of the Werewolf, can a mummy's curse really work on him?
<img src="http://www.chaoticconcepts.com/bans/rfjustjon10.gif"><BR><A href="http://www.chaoticconcepts.com">Chaotic Concepts</a>
I would like to contend that I wasn't relying on the mummy's curse to defeat the brute. I was relying on its killer wit to strangle the human form of the brute with its mummy bandages during a non full moon period.

The Brute's sharp teeth would rip the slower Mummy apart.

The Cap'n is non-fruity, so he is not a contender. Hell, if we included other monster cereals, they'd all just turn and beat down on Boo Berry.
But back to the matter at hand... even if the mummy waited till the brute was in human form, the human is faster and can run away or light the mummy on fire.

or light the mummy on fire
Ya know, that's a good point. Weren't mummies burned for fuel at one point?
"Monsters" shouldn't be highly combustible. Weak.
And from what I learned from watching FangFace, all human brute has to do is keep a picture of the moon handy to be able to unleash the beast at will.

Frankenberry has survived because it's cleary miles better than these two mutts.
That, and he has the strength to pull any cereal executive in half with his "retard-beyond-the-grave" strength.
What is this, "Grudge Match"?

By the way, someone decided that they needed to figure out <a href="http://www.thesneeze.com/mt-archives/000019.html">who Boo Berry was before he became a ghost</a> and I think they've almost got a point.
