Wow; thought Lionel had fallen off the face of the earth. Anyone remember Lionel? He was on WABC mornings during the OJ trial, and he was a lawyer, so his coverage, I thought, kicked ass.

R+F and other Floridians [like me] remember Lionel aka Michael from WFLA. When he's good, he's real good. And when he's in one of his psycho rants, all the better. One of the weirdest guys I ever met. Smart as hell though.

Anyway he's on WOR 710 11pm-1am. Wow thats a weird shift.

Anyway, he's not bad. And being its WOR and late at night just about anyone on this board has a shot at tuning in. Maybe he sucks now, gonna go listen. He sure loves to rant...

Exactly, when Lionel is on a roll, he can get that Bennington groove, but Lionel tends to talk a lot, likes to hear himself perhaps, and he lets bad callers know exactly and precisely how bad they are, often to extreme overkill.

Sounds ok tonight.

I remember him Mizzle. Lionel used to have a show on Eyada.com, an online radio station that also featured a brilliant free-form radio show called "Rotten Radio" hosted by John Lydon. There was a broadcast station here that used to simulcast Lionel's online show in the evenings.

Like many commentators, his libertarian views afforded him the opportunity to criticize both liberals and conservatives. Though he would always admit that he was harder on the conservatives. His live coverage of the 2000 Republican National Convention was classic.

in the dark void of ny radio over the last year, and with paul alexander leaving his show with john bachelor, i find myself listening to lionel .....

it's only a two hour show, but it has it's moments

What the F was the Deal-io with Bachelor and Alexander? First I thought they were 'partners', then I thought I heard one was married, or something. But a weird show. And I just heard they 'broke up'? hmmm....
