Bank Lines

I went to the bank today to drop off the deposits from work ($13k+ in cash, yikes!). There was only one teller, so a line started to form. Now, they have one of those little s-bend thingies like they have at airports in which you form a line. The people ahead of me, however, decided to form a line <i>around</i> the area where you're supposed to form up. Why would people do this? Are they thinking, "I'm too good to get in some darned line that the <b>man</b> set up!"? I'm all for independence and "thinking outside of the box," to use a clich‚, but is this necessary? I <i>hate</i> when people think they're too good for the rules. <i>"Oh, that doesn't apply to me, I'm too important!"</i> The worst part is that when I got to the entrance of s-bend thingie, I decided to enter so that a <i>proper</i> line would start. However, my attempt failed as the next guy did not get the hint and just made a step forward. People drive me insane.

Here's one.

My bank has 4 regular tellers, which everyone waits for, and another teller people just walk right up to, do their business and leave. After a while, I figured it out- It's the Spanish Language Teller. So if you are a regular old English speaking schmuck, you have to wait in line like everyone else. But if you came to this country and never had the courtesy to learn the language, you get to skip over the whole fucking line. Just fucking great.

I don't use the bank anymore, but find the same things happens in traffic. Especially with exit ramps. I once saw someone get into an exit lane that they KNEW ended just to get around three cars that were in front of them in the stopped traffic. Wow, you are going to get where you are going about 17 seconds earlier. F'n morons. Also happens another place where there are two lanes that exit onto a bridge. The third lane on the left just sorta dissapears. Well most people get it the right two lanes and wait in the traffic like considerate members of the human race. But constantly people are zipping by on the left, cutting across a sort of divider at the last second and cutting off literally a half mile of patiently waiting people. They are just so much more imporatant than people who follow the rules...

Grrr. I guess you all have kinda touched a nerve.
