An image was caught on a closed circuit camera Click here (http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/europe/12/19/hampton.ghost.ap/index.html)
Guards wondering who was leaving the fire door open watched to see who it may be, caught that image.

i dont know why you would attack the intelligence of people who believe ghosts are possible.
in fact, anyone who believes in religion and says ghosts dont exist is slightly hipocritical.
if we have souls like we are said to, and they watch over everything from heaven, like is said to, how can you say some souls dont walk the earth.
maybe they werent allowed in "heaven or hell" and walking as a ghost is the equivalent of pergatory?

The Church says he rose again as himself, not a ghost. I look at ghosts as I look at the tooth fairy. Its been shown time after time that the phenomenon that people think they see are really in their own imagination. The English still think there are dinosaurs swimming around in Scottish lakes, warewolves, vampires, and "creatures" lurking around in their own island that no ones identified yet!

The history of science would agree with this. In fact, the history of science is filled, brimming over, chock-fulla instances where what at first seems like an utter impossibility becomes later validated as true as can be by and standard of measurement.
What is this photo? Occam's razor dictates somebody in a natural getup over a supernatural other. And I follow the razor. However, when we take all the times in science where up became down, and left became right, and we discovered thing we had utterly no idea exited until our technology was up to the task.
Ghosts a la Swayze? Oh I hope not. But let's say this about the current state of things. Depending on who's theory is most popular at any moment, we can't detect the vast majority of matter in the visible universe. I don't mean beyond our seeing, I mean the angular momentum of spiral galaxies is such that they must contain many many times the matter then we can detect with anything we have.
So; if we don;t even know what the majority of the Matter part of the universe is, or where it is, or what form; what can we say about the Energy part? And any other parts that, again, may well exist all around us, but we are utterly, utterly unaware of.
As to things 'no ones identified yet', they arent in scottish lakes, but they find new stuff all the time:
Possible New Whale Species (http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/science/11/19/japan.whale.ap/)

not to mention other dimensions that we dont see, we only have sight of 3 dimensions. but imagine if we could 'see' electromagnetic waves, then the entire world would look very different to us. for the sake of argument we could just as well have aliens walking among us, just in a form that we have yet to detect. as i stated before anything i spossible, and we need to look beyond our limited sight to find answers.

All I can say is, wouldnt the # of people who have died already, far far outnumber the living? This image is suppose to be the visible spirit of someone who is dead? If spirits were visible and able to be photographed, wouldnt it have been apparent to us by now that these things exist? We would be bumping into them all the time! All these things are in our imagination. Consider the clue to this picture; they were checking the security cameras to see why the doors were being left open, which indicates that the open doors were enough of a bother to someone to go check the security department. The place is a building of historical importance and they have people that work there wearing period attire... Is it such a leap that one of the staff, knowing that it bothers someone and knowing that they would check the security tapes to see who left the door open, would dress that way and open the door? What a great way to attract business!

no its not that big of a leap, and in all probability u are correct. but i take offense to the fact that u believe those that believe in the impossible are fools. i just like to keep my mind open, cause im fairly certain before i die science will make a huge discovery and discover everything they believed in was wrong. it blew my mind when i learned that all matter are particles and waves, so if i believe in that ill keep my mind open for everything.

"that type stuff" or you don't,it's about that simple.
I lease a space that is flat out haunted(old theatre in the 1880's;speakeasy during prohibition)and many people have seen this one:It's a kid,and he's playful. He shows up around 4 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and likes to walk behind you. Most people
get "a feeling",and turn to just catch a fleeting glimpse as he leaves the main room.Cool as hell;not very frightening.Anybody want to see this?
Ah cool I remembered the example I was trying to remember but forgot until I remembered so...
I forget which book, but Carl Sagan describes his life of research on claims of UFO's, ETs, the SETI, and other capital letters.
What he came away with, after an intensive investigation of the claims of people who have been either a] visited by an alien or other entity, or b] were vistied by same and taken [abducted] to another place.
His conclusion: While he doubts that people are indeed being visited, he was utterly clueless as to how to explain away the evidence.
I do Not mean that the evidence was real. He was simply blown away by interviews with people he saw, and conducted himself. He could only conclude that for many of these people; they do indeed believe this happened or is happening. The commonality of the visions was also surprising, and again, of course, we all know what the stereotypical ET looks like; but again, what he was blown away with was people who had reams of history, going back to before they could talk, of being visited, and visited all their lives, to the scorn of family, and employees, etc.
What I am trying to get across is YES I think that photo is a FAKE. I think the stereotypical Ghost is Fake. But, something in our collective psyches is ringing true with this notion of Alien Abduction. To a disquieting degree. To surprising numbers. To people who must be doing a lifelong job of acting, because these people, whether it is true of not, BELIEVE. I'm talking a tiny minority of all the reports. Ah, screw it now I gotta go look it up...
Sagan's opinion, not mine. And hey, maybe he's full of shit too, so...

but i take offense to the fact that u believe those that believe in the impossible are fools.
Im sorry if you take offence to it, its just when I think about the vast #s of dead that must have been alive (obviously) and to become ghosts, I have to question how its possible to have something tangible (that can open a door, say) and be visible and there not be an overwhelming amount of them, all over the place, that it becomes really unlikely.
As far as the commonality of the face of UFO abductees accounts of aliens, I have a belief that as we were born, and out eyes werer adjusting to seeing things, one of the first things we were constantly seeing is the human face. The eyes of a newborn, not enterpreting what this whitish oval with this pair of dark almond shapes over a slit that it kept seeing must have been terrifying to it. I think the alien face is little more than the first terrifying image that a person sees, it follows a typical pattern. Your warm and comfortable, suddenly, your thrust into this brilliant cold environment with these shapes hovering above you, they poke and prod and examine you. Thats what I think it is.
Mike can tell you about the vast distances a venturing extraterrestrial would have to travel, the time and energy for such an undertaking.
Also, in regards to you mentioning waves and particles as energy, and portals into differnt dimensions. Earth is traveling around the sun, and the sun is traveling around the outer edges of the galaxy. The galaxy itself is also moving through space, away from the center of the universe. Where we are right now is where we have never been before. The Earth in its travel, is in a place right now that it has never been before, even though its spinning and also moving in an ellipse. Ok? So, if when a person dies and turns into
"energy", is that energy so powerful that it can follow a planet as it moves through space an time?

This "Grand Unified Theory" the scientists are working on is supposed to find the single thing that connects all matter. It may be wavelengths, quarks, frequencies, superstrings ect... and this "God Particle" will transcend time and space. There would be no escape.

To me, that video shows doors blowing open and someone inside who might have just been passing by trying to close the doors as the wind was blowing them open. The wind apparent from the "stationary" security cameras motion.
