In an amateur match who do you think would win? Angle is the obvious favorite. But Brock is so much bigger then him now and weight and strength are factors. I put Benoit in here because he has always showed amateur wrestling moves in his style.
(I haven't bought a PPV in a while but an Angle vs Brock match would get the cash out of my pocket)

I'd put my money on Angle winning an amatuer match.
But Benoit still has the better pro wrestling moves. Out of those three Benoit is the better overall wrestler.

I think I recall reading a while ago that Lesnar challenged Angle to an impromptu "amateur" match prior to a show, and that Angle defeated him very quickly. That being the case, I'd have to give the nod to Angle.
Benoit is also outstanding in his own right, but if the match was strictly amateur-style, I'd still have to go with Angle.

Wow! If that is true then I guess there is a HUGE difference between NCAA champ and Olympic champ.

Well.....yeah. I mean, Angle's accomplishments can't be ignored - he won a gold medal with, effectively, a broken neck. The guy could probably outwrestle EVERYONE on the roster.
I'd give Brock the nod over Benoit in an amateur match as well.
But I agree that Benoit is the best pro wrestler of them all.

All about the Angle. Not only did he win the gold once, he considered leaving the WWE to train for the Olympics again.

What if the match took place in Stu Hart's basement?
