View Full Version : The end of Armageddon: What could have been...

Goldberg and Kane are going at it while Trips is outside of the ring selling a big spot. Goldberg goes for the Jackhammer, Kane reverses it into the Tombstone and nails it. All of a sudden, the lights go out, the single deep sounding yet oh so familiar bell is heard. Lights go back on, Kane is laid out in the ring, as is Goldberg. Trips seizes the opportunity and covers Goldberg to get the title.
An "attack" from the Undertaker would have been perfect to put in there. Plus WWE was going to give the title back to HHH anyways, so in my version they give it to him the cheap way.
Fallout from PPV on RAW:
-Triple H is happy he wins, HBK gets set for his title chase by beating HHH in a match.
-Goldberg is pissed and gets irate, he becomes uncontrolable and is suspended.
-Kane becomes completely paranoid and signs of the Undertaker's return show up everywhere. They begin as subtle signs. Mostly him just thinking he's seeing things and becoming delusional. Eventually, real big signs of the old Undertaker show up. Possibly Mideon being a prophet of Kane's demise come WM XX.
Two out of the things happened. I really did predict at least some of theses things to occur. If WWE went through with my ending and then the third storyline I though would happen and probably most other people would have wanted to see, it would have been a really good ending to the PPV.

Genius, pure genius!
This could have been a perfect setup and also be an explanation as to why Kane was involved in this match to begin with.

If I was working with the WWE right now, I'd do the one thing that most writers aren't doing right now and try to write storylines from the perspective of a fan. I'm sure that they want to listen to the ideas that we have, but there are people who think that us "internet losers" (mainly Triple H) don't know about the business. Trust us, we know and we only want to see something that makes sense and is entertaining at the same time. How hard is it for them to listen?

They do listen to the fans and interact with them through email.

WHAT?!?!?
No, the real question is why was HHH involved in the match to begin with. Kane v. Golberg was pretty much their LAST money match, and they blew it by sticking the cripple in there. AND giving him the title.
Spicy's idea isn't bad, but personally, I would have had Kane win the title - you need to have him go over big, and remain strong - and then have him lose the title at Rumble (back, presumably, to Goldberg) when Taker interferes (Taker's return really should be saved for the important PPV).
