"Bush Vows Fair, Public Trial for Saddam"
I'll be interested to see how this plays out. Based on the admin's opinion of international law, I'm doubting it'll take place in the Hague. It doesn't make sense for us to bring him here either, since I don't see how we have a case against him, and certainly not one stronger than the Iraqis.
So, since the Iraqi gov't isn't supposed to be up and running til next June, it looks like we'll be holding Saddam for a while. And then, the fair trail, which I assume would include Saddam giving a defense, would be quite interesting, considering Saddam would no doubt talk about many events potentially embarassing to the Reagan and Bush admin.'s, as well as people in the current admin like Rumsfeld. Oh, and this will all take place in the months before the election.
