View Full Version : Guess who is calling TNA?

From NWATNA.com's article The Bank Shot by Bill Banks:

Having worked at the WWF(E) for several years in the late 90s, it's been surprising to me to read about the recent locker room discontent - including the arguments and fights that seem to be breaking out on a weekly basis. What happened? You tell me and we'll both know. Reminds me of the WCW locker room in its final months. TNA officials continue to get some interesting phone calls from superstars up north.stay tuned on this one. Come on, guess. There should be some interesting names that people will bring up. HA!

So who do you think it is? ;)

I think Mr. Discontented-Every-Monday-Night, Rob Van Dam, has been using a lot of calling cards lately. But I'm most likely wrong (as usual).

I would also say Mr. Misused Monday Night. Why there is not a title in this mans future is beyond me.

Oh wait, because Trips has to have everything with title in it.

I would even go as far as to say Jericho. I mean it has to be an insult to his talent and workmanship to be involved in a Battle of the Sexes match at the next PPV.

Besides those two, I have no idea.

Thinking about it though, TNA could really push the hell out of a guy like John Cena and make him a Mega-Star.

Will you eventually tell, RFM?

Actually, those aren't bad guesses, as I've heard that a couple ECW guys' (don't know who, for sure) contracts are up shortly. For that matter, may as well throw in Lance "My penis is my gimmick" Storm and No "Hello? Remember me?" va for consideration.

Yeah, I know, I'm really reaching now... but since Time Warner Cable FINALLY hooked up my PPV capabilities, I'm starting a wish list. :)

A lot of the former ECWer's didn't even dawn on me and those sure do make a hell of a lot of sense too. I really need to start paying attention to my wrestling again. I gotta stopp letting the fact that just cause the WWE is bad right now doesn't mean that all wrestling is bad.

I really love Rajah's site and I notice that even he has not given his weekly News & Rumours in quite some time. For a while there he was talking about the TNA and then his reports completely tailed off.

I really need to do some more convincing with my friends that TNA needs to be bought weekly.

TNA:
$40 = 8 hours of entertainment.

WWE:
$35 = 2.75 hours of some sub-par dreck that could EASILY be played out on a Monday or a Thursday.

Sorry, I got off track again.

You're doing pretty good if you get a WWE PPV for 25 bucks - it should cost a good 10 bucks more.

Outside of Runnels (who certainly has made the call by now), I can picture that many of the lower-card guys have placed a phone call to TNA. RVD is possible.

He has repeatedly badmouthed friends of mine, spreading false rumors from WCW days, just because my friend is friends with Spanky and Charlie hates him.

When my friend confronted him on it, he tried to laugh it off instead of being a man and admitting it.

Plus he recently hurt another friend of mine and wouldn't give him anything in the match.

Spicy, it doesn't mean that he will actually go to TNA. But in any case they could both go to TNA and become the newest tag team champions. Always a possibility.

I'd love to see RVD in TNA only if they brought Jerry Lynn back. Blame management for Lynn pretty much leaving TNA... he may come back though. Time heals all I guess.

on the same note, I'd love to see Lance Storm jump to TNA, and bring back Justin Credible to reform the impact players (Pipe dream I know!!!) Storm... *cough* Perhaps... who knows.

Although Justin wouldn't come back to TNA because he was being misused in his eyes.

...

Well there are some other superstars that have made calls and quite surprising as well. Very surprising.

Charlie Haas, in particular, has been trying to mess with the lives/livelyhoods of two of my friends. He's trying to hurt them and get them fired, by spreading completely false lies.

Why is it wrong for me to wish he dies so he can't cause any more trouble for friends?

P.S. You guys should hear what McMahon says and does to JR during meetings. Wishing him to die is probably a lot less humiliating.

Enough. Whether or not you stepped over the line wishing death on a wrestler is debatable considering you're apparently a lot closer to them than most of us, but it would be best to avoid doing so to "one of us" considering we're all supposed to be friends around here. I might even suggest an apology & admitting you went too far.

No are these actual friends in the business, or do you have a severe attachment to your Jakks Action Figures?

Seriously, I know Charlie personally and he is known for being a stand up guy who is always looking for advice on how to improve.

The recent stuff with Eddy was chalked up to a misunderstanding , and the majority of the guys think he had a right to defend himself . Word I hear is that any shit-stirring that is going on is not on Charlie's end.

If you do indeed know someone in the business, let alone someone that has made it to the big leagues, I'm sure that thay would say your little "car accident" comment wouldn't fly with them, especially with all the losses that have happened over the past year.

we now return to your scheduled topic.

and I agree with Peachy on this as well...I'm sure that since contract renewal time is coming up for Mr. PPV, he'd be a fool to not at least test the waters and see what TNA could do for him.

Very similar to what you are doing here? I mean, you are
here wishing death and making unverifyable claims, that
doesnt seem very stand up either, now, does it?

Look, the wrestling business will always have little cliques,
It's the ultimate carnival of ego's, from the indies to WWE,
and guys do talk smack about each other all the time,
however i have never known Charlie to do so any more
than any other wrestler and his reputation with the WWE
brass and the developmentals backs that up.

And if he did talk crap and was confronted, and he backed
down to another wrestler thats between them.

It's been well documented that the TWGTT has had some
heat with Eddy and Chavo which goes back months now,
and they have all traded injuries, other than that, there
hasn't been much gossip that Charlie's name has been in.

So if your "personal friends" are someone else on the SD
roster, why havent you run and reported this "exclusive"
info on every 14 year olds wrestling "news site"?

Here's a shocker dude, not everyone in the wrestling
business likes each other! Just like all board members
here... there are bound to be a few people that like to stir
the pot wherever you go....

Do you think I was really serious that I wish they'd all die? Christ. I don't like JR and Haas, but I don't actually wish them to do. Besides, karma has caught up with them each in different ways already.

And if he did talk crap and was confronted, and he backed down to another wrestler thats between them.

Yes, you're right, but I was just stating that when he was confronted in a stand up manner, he tried to make jokes and get out of it.

Because I was hoping to vent here without drawing any heat towards my friends, by "reporting" it to "news" sites.

I never said they did or should. I was just stating that Charlie has said things to the agents and upper management that is not true and my friend has gotten a lot of heat for it.

Who's betta than my friends? Nobody. They are the biggest MF'ers I've met, so you all better Stand Back, or they'll lie, cheat and steal.

Class act all the way pal.... So i assume your definition of karma is Charlie losing his brother and JR having Bell's palsy?

Wow, that justifies your " I don't like them but i'm not being serious about wishing they's die"... How big of you.

Some people are f'n unreal.....So what is the Karma Fairy getting you this year?

Yes, you're right, but I was just stating that when he was confronted in a stand up manner, he tried to make jokes and get out of it.

Its called "not having to show your dick to prove you're a man".

Hell, if punches were thrown everytime someone had issue with someone else in wrestling, there would be no one left on TV.

Management tends to frown upon their wrestlers getting hurt in backstage fights, they want them healthy enough to pretend to fight in the ring. If Charlie ( or anyone) tried to diffuse a fight by laughing it off, thats the right way to do it. Blow it off, have a beer and let it die.... Thats the professional way.

Because I was hoping to vent here without drawing any heat towards my friends, by "reporting" it to "news" sites.

But like a child running around saying "I got a secret" out loud, you hadda post it somewhere, right?

So instead of posting a "Charlie Haas Sucks" thread elsewhere on the board, you decided to insert something about it here.

Maybe you didn't have the knowledge that The Haas Bros. started in the NY/NJ area and that fans from there would have something to say about it. Maybe you thought it was just an off hand comment that no one would care about, but as you can see a few of us have taken offense as we have seen Charlie come up in the biz and know he's a good guy who busted his ass to get there.

I never said they did or should. I was just stating that Charlie has said things to the agents and upper management that is not true and my friend has gotten a lot of heat for it.

Friend or friends? your story seems to keep changing. And as for "heat", if it's someone who's catchphrase is below, heat from the office is more heat than most of those guys generate in the ring as of late.

Who's betta than my friends? Nobody. They are the biggest MF'ers I've met, so you all better Stand Back, or they'll lie, cheat and steal.
