My favorite "Family Ties" moment has to be...
"Alex....There was a kangaroo in my living room."

I liked the show until the cousin oliver toe-headed brat son came along and killed every ounce of funny that was left in the show.

The question is, when did the show jump the shark? When Nick came on board? When Alex got a girlfriend? When the other son came along (can't remember his name?

His name was Andy.
I forgot how different the first season was. Elysse and the beardless Steven were a bunch of damn hippies.

It was also the last time Mark "Skippy" Price was ever funny.

If there ever was a time that this show "Jumped the Shark", it was when they went to England on vacation. That special has not held up well at all.

I thought Andy was adorable and I loved how Alex had basically influenced him into be a mini Alex P. Keaton. I always loved when he would ask Alex to watch "Wall Street Week" with him.

I completely agree, I just seen that sometime last year and was surprised how terrible it was.

Skippy was supposed to be funny???
I'm so broke I can't afford to pay attention.

I laughed AT him, not WITH him.

Wasn't Mel Gibson on the show? As Malary's Boyfriend?

That was a Mel Gibson lookalike - Scott Valentine I believe his name was. Nick. Yo!
I remember Skippy's head getting stuck in the banaster. Or at least them talking about it.

He didn't say Yo, he said "Ay"...a more macho version of Fonzie's Ay.
Great show...I watched part of the marathon last weekend.
