Yea, most remakes suck. It's just the way it is.
I think their best bet is NOT to make it look like this special the next part of the old one, but rather to make it it's own seperate entity.

I read it's going to focus on Linus' cloyingly cute younger brother. I wish I were making that up.
For me, Peanuts jumped the shark when Snoopy began correspondence with his desert-dwelling cousin, Spike.

Rerun? That's a character that never took off.
I agree. It's going to suck in a big, big way.

What, you guys don't like the "sound alike" voices that they use.
Sort of like Ant's retarded Fred Flintstone......
I shucked it, and I shucked it, and I shucked it, i'm quite the mother shucker

Rerun? That's a character that never took off.
It's sad that the Autumnal Schultz had to resort to ripping of "What's Happening?" Too bad Fred Berry's not around to sue.
So Rerun gets a special, while Franklin and Shermy are left out in the cold yet again?

Shermy will be featured in paper form starting this april. Fantagraphics books will be releasing Peanuts collections semi-annually. The first book will cover the first 2.5 years of the strip (it started in mid-1950) and each successive book will feature 2 years to cover all 50 years. All strips will be printed in black and white.
I just checked Fantagraphics.com. They still say the book comes out in April, but they also say if you preorder with them, it ships to you March 1.
