Wow this is sad if true. He was set to return to TNA with the New Church in a month or two.

He was starting to get over in TNA too. RIP Malice.

Yeah, okay, we know the guy didn't exactly set the world on fire in the business.

But still, he's just another casualty in what is becoming something of an epidemic in the wrestling industry. The frequency of these types of deaths has seemed to jump to at least 2 or three every month - and that's just the small quantity of "name" wrestlers.

Somewhat off topic but related - please, don't let Mutoh book All Japan anymore. Their top gaijin used to be guys like Stan Hansen, Vader, Terry Gordy, Steve Williams. Now they're reduced to Justin fucking Credible.

Justin fucking Credible.

Hell, Dan Spivey in the early 90s was 100 times better.

Maybe this is part of a bigger conspiracy like "The Boys from Brazil". The McMahons are like the Nazis and they need to kill off 92 jobbers and make it look natural to carry out their plans.

Jeeez, this guy was 36 years old! This is getting insane.

On a side note...wasn't he buddies with Goldberg (or am I mixing up my stories)? How is it that he was still in Japan if he had a friend in the WWE & Vince was willing to hire piles of human feces like Nathan Jones just based on size? Was he a known druggie for some time or did he have some other baggage that made him undesirable in the "Land of the Useless Giants" that is the WWE?

Nikkan Sports in Japan reported that Tuite was found unconscious in his hotel room and rushed to the hospital. Tuite was found by La Parka and Nosawa when they had returned from a meal and wanted to say their goodbyes before heading for the Narita Airport to return to Mexico. The report listed Tuite's age as 36 and the cause of death as "an acute heart attack."

Funny you mention Sharpe as he was the one that actually trained the Wall/Malice.

I've known Jerry for about 10 years now. I trained with him at Mike Sharpe's school in the same class of wrestlers as Nova and Devon Storm, and Jerry had "star" written all over him. He was a great person, a nice guy, and was willing to learn anything he could to make it in the business.

When he went to WCW, he did fall in with the crowd that was into taking pain meds alot stronger than tylenol, and while he was picked up in the buyout of WCW, he was given his release, with a possibility of a return, to deal with that problem. He was upfront about it and used that dark time in his life to create alot of what we saw in him as Malice, turning a negative into a positive. He cleaned up, and was ready to get back into the ring.

About 2 years ago, He started working with Nova's Brother Donnie B and myself in the NJ based PCW. Jerry cleaned up 100%... Every week we'd get together and shoot stuff for TV, and again, that side of him that wanted to improve himself came out. he'd stay there for hours until he got a promo exactly right. Some of those were pretty intense, and showed a side of him that you never saw of him as the "Wall". During this time he was completely clean of the whatever demons he had had before.

Eventually, he became the PCW champ, went on to TNA and remade himself as Malice. He had gotten himself in such good shape and changed his look so dramatically that no one but the most hardcore of fan would know he was the same guy. He did get another shot at WWE, but they suggested he get some more polish before he came back. He teamed at the Russ Haas Memorial show ( Russ was another guy gone too soon) with OVW's Seven, and i'll tell ya, i have never seen 2 guys that had money written all over them together than those 2.

All Japan called, bought him in as Gigantes, and he was really bringing his stuff up to the next level. He was making good money and was starting to get respect from even the most jaded of wrestling critics.

I got a call at 7am yesterday from Donnie B....the type of call that we are hearing all too often in the wrestling business. He had just gotten off the phone with Devon Storm and that Jerry was found dead in Japan.

I was stunned....I'm still in shock.

While Jerry may not have been the biggest name in the wrestling, he was a guy with alot of potenial to be huge in the business, and above that a guy that wanted to succeed. he was a good friend lost way too soon.

So we add another name to the list...

I pray it's the last...but i know it wont be.

Rest in peace bro.

Here is the question. Is it the drugs, the steroids or the combination of the 2 that makes these guys drop like flies? How the fuck is Orndorf still breathing?

I didn't see anything, I didn't hear anything, I wasn't there and if I was there I was asleep.
