Whats the story on this shit? Whats the evidence? Weve all heard stories. I found one bullshit site that seem chock full of information, but I wont be reading it. Maybe someone that wants to educate themselves will. I did however read the quotes and here they are:

It's hard to usher in the responsibility era if you behave irresponsibly."
-- Junior, aiming at Clinton but backfiring.

"I propose that every city have a telephone number 119 -- for dyslexics who have an emergency."
-- George W Bush Jr.

"If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator."

--President-Elect George W. Bush

We must speak the truth about terror. Let us never tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories concerning the attacks of September the 11th, malicious lies that attempt to shift the blame away from the terrorists themselves, away from the guilty."

-- President George W. Bush
speaking before the UN General Assembly 11/10/2001

"I first of all, there's a lot of brains in this room. And you get to decide whether there's a brain drain in Russia. I tell Vladimir all the time -- I mean, Mr. President all the time -- that Russia's most precious resource is the brain power of this country. And you've got a lot of it. It's going to take a lot of brains in Russia to create a drain." -- George W. Bush, St. Petersburg University, St. Petersburg, Russia, May 25, 2002

My administration has been calling upon all the leaders in the -- in the Middle East to do everything they can to stop the violence, to tell the different parties involved that peace will never happen." -- George W. Bush, Crawford, Texas, Aug. 13, 2001

"One of the great things about books is sometimes there are some fantastic pictures." -- George W. Bush

"This administration is doing everything we can to end the stalemate in an efficient way. We're making the right decisions to bring the solution to an end." -- George W. Bush, April 10, 2001

"A low voter turn-out is an indication of fewer people going to the polls." -- George W. Bush

"I am here to make an announcement that this Thursday, ticket counters and airplanes will fly out of Ronald Reagan Airport." -- George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., Oct. 3, 2001

"I do think we need for a troop to be able to house his family. That's an important part of building morale in the military." -- George W. Bush, speaking at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida, March 12, 2001

"I am mindful of the difference between the executive branch and the legislative branch. I assured all four of these leaders that I know the difference, and that difference is they pass the laws and I execute them." -- George W. Bush, Dec. 20, 2000

"The Holocaust was an obscene period in our nation's history. I mean in this century's history. But we all lived in this century. I didn't live in this century." -- George W. Bush, September 15, 1995

Pres. bush steps over his words often, you can't befront him for that.

several of these quotes look like he was speaking them in jest, and they lose their humor without the tone.

Admiral James Stockdale was a terrible public speaker, but I still would be proud to have him as my vice president.

I'm not sure about the authenticity of these - some definitely seem like fakes though. On the other hand, Snopes has a bunch of real ones:

The Holocaust was an obscene period in our nation's history

This is somewhat true given the number of Jews we turned away, knowing full well what was going on.

This one's gotta be a fake....George W. Bush isn't even a "Junior"

besides, some of us really aren't good at public speaking it doesnt mean we should be ripped for it or called stupid...

We let in a lot that helped us with the Manhattan Project. A lot of the "turning away" would probably have to do with what happened in WW1 with all that propaganda the British and French were putting out about what the Germans were doing in Belgium that turned out to not be true. But still, give Ike credit for getting it out in the public immediately. He got on the hook and got the press out there, congressmen, everybody to see what was happening...

I recall Ike got "it out in the public" a couple of years after the first newspaper accounts which went back to at least '42.

It wasn't all propaganda, and it wasn't all un-true. The Germans, in their occupation of Belgium, did do some pretty awful shit to the Belgians that simply could not be rationalized.

I didn't mean to sound like none of it ever happened, i'm saying it was overblown when it did, but the Germans did do a lot of bad stuff in Belgium, mostly because of stories they had heard from their Grandfathers who fought in the Franco-Prussian War who warned them of the dangers of "Franc-Tieureurs"...

Right. Cause he was actually in Germany in '44 and '45 and in Tunisia in '42. I made the point of how a lot of people were wary about all the stuff going on over there because of the atrocities of the Germans in WW1 were so overblown(although stuff did still happen but not to that degree)
