How will you be decorating the outside of your home this year?

I have my icicle lights, two 2 foot lighted reindeer, a 4 foot lighted tree, and an 8 foot inflatable snowman. Christmas is the perfect time to go overly gawdy.

So, how about you?

I hate icicle lights.

I'm just doing lights on the windows.

I always thought reindeer heads displayed like trophies would be cool. If I had 9 I'd put a lightbulb in the first one's nose.

Did anyone shop at IKEA when they had reindeer lunchmeat for sale? I haven't been able to find it for the last several years... maybe a result of Chernobyl... but it was way cool back in the day to have a Rudolph sandwich on Christmas day.

I've never done decorations, just a whole lotta lights. I have probably 3-4 rubber-made big bins filled with them, icecle, net, swag-style, traditional. A lot of them I've never seen before, because they were probably added to my collection after christmas 2002 from the after-christmas sales. I just opened them today, and I'll hopefully have them all up by monday.

neither has jon. he bought me a cute little christmas tree last year, and a ton of ornaments. 90% of it is all star wars, but i feel bad for the little jew boy who never had a xmas tree as a kid, so i let it go.

I'm not religious, but I do like this time of year. Still, I wouldn't put any sort of decorations out on the outside of my house (if I had one.. live in an apartment). There's never a good time for gawdy. What I hate are those goofy wire reindeer that everyone has now. Why have the same decorations that twenty other houses on the same block have. Do something original or at least tasteful if you're going to gussy up your house.

Hell Yes!!!!

Hey, you ever hear about those folks who Sue the Township each year because the township is using public funds for those Christmas Decorations and why not other religions blah blah they have a point but blah blah and then the ACLU lands and it goes from local story to the Star Ledger and blah blah

Anyway those folks lived next door to me for 4 years. Don't know why they were so adamant, as they were fairy reclusive, or not around a lot; and I wasnt going to knock on the door and say 'Hi! so what's up with that?' but I was a teeensy bit frightened, when the story was front page of my paper those years. I know they were getting threats, so...

YES! I think I should put on my lawn a symbol of Every Faith that Ever Existed. I want the Gods of the Bible, Torah, Upanishads, Rig Vedas, Bhagavad Ghitas, Greek, Roman, Norse, Celtic, African, etc represented!!!!

My lawns pretty big. Well the woods part.

I'm bored with Christmas. I'm going to celebrate Festivus! Poll and all!

whit lights on 'outer' sections of shrubs(away from front door) green lights on the sections closer to the door...

picked up 3 pretty white deer(does) from Franks Nursery last year and a buck that looks like Bullwinkle(not sure if i'll put it up again)...

it's not too much and it does look 'very' pretty ...

i bought a roto-zip and some nice pieces of 4x4 plywood, think it's 1/2 in thick. i tried making tombstones for Halloween last year and that roto-zip is something to get used to" haven't got back to that project and it's bugging me...

i'm thinking of making some X-mas trees out of them and string lights 'around' it... i'll keep you posted!
