Went out to dinner tonight at the Cheesecake Factory in the Palisades Mall. Split a piece of Dolce de Leche cheesecake...it was to die for! It's right up there with the chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake. A little pricey and there's usually a long wait to get in, but definitely worth the splurge and extra calories every so often.

They make a cheeseburger the size of the dinner plate (at least in Boston they do), that rocks.

I'm all about the Cheesecake Factory. The best times to go to avoid the wait is during the day (after 5 unsuccessful attempts to eat there, Doogs and I finally figured this out).
I have not had a bad dish from there and I get something new every time I go. Also: try the Raspberry Lemon Cream Cheesecake. So so yum.

I would like to attend such a glorious eatery.

I've been there the last 3 sundays in a row. I think my family just loves torturing me since Cheesecake is my biggest weakness and I can't have it anymore. The food is incredible, though, so it's worth the torture.

I had to go cold turkey on Cheesecake Factory cheesecake (36g of fat -- PER SLICE) after my bout with pancreatitus. Made for a great Thanksgiving as the family drooled all over their slices.
Santa -- if you're listening, 1 fully functioning pancreas is all I want this year.

my ex suffers from pancreatitus, so i know what you're going through. i'd only wish that on my worst enemies. no cheesecake for you!
i brought a dolce de leche cheesecake to my mom's for thanksgiving. my sister, who is very fat/calorie content conscious, had one small slice, and then just started picking at the rest of the cake. my stepfather suggested she take another slice, and she replied, "no way, it's like 1,000 calories per slice." then proceeded to pick some more at the cake. she picked herself the equivalent of a second slice.

no cheesecake for you!
No anything for me. Imagine being 6 feet tall, about 150, and ordering off of the low-fat menu everywhere you go. The best part is being in a bar band, and not being able to drink. Damn you pancreas!

I'm sure i'd like the place, but i can't stand waiting 2 hours to get into any freakin resturant in the Palisades Mall. especially when i can go to Stir Crazy and get one of those 'crazy buddhas' while i wait

i agree, Gwen....MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
That place is my second fave.
Hippie, try going for lunch or an early dinner (5ish). the wait is much less...at times we were seated right away; i think the most we had to wait was 20 minutes, and that was this past weekend.

I walk by the Palisades one all the time, and Ive always wonderred if it was a restaurant or just a cheescake place. Thanks Jenn for clearing that up, I'll try it some time. But I do miss the RainForest Cafe(or whatever it was called) great coconut chicken strips, and specialty drinks. sigh.

I think it's pretty safe to say that the Palisades Mall is THE official mall of Ron and Fez.net.

There is one about 1-1/2 miles from my house at Riverside Square Mall. I could theoreticly(sp?) walk there, but have never been.
They say the wait is usually an hour to hour & 1/2.
Is the Big-Ass burger worth the wait? Because for me, the meal is way more important than the dessert.
