My GF loves these movies, she even makes costumes and plays make believe! She marched in the village Halloween parade and looked like an ass.
I saw the movies, I fell asleep. Why are they so popular? I'd rather watch Star Wars or The Matrix!

Maybe because the stories make sense or the sequel was better than the original or they have a plot or the special affects blend in instead of being a distraction or the acting is decent.

Matrix was great with the first movie but the last two were a LARGE letdown and LOTR? Well I think they did an awsome job and it even made people who never had an interest in thebooks stand up and cheer for more!
P.S. 1.2 billion in ticket sales so far cannot be wrong

I actually like all three. I just got the 4 disc TTT:EE set. Will be buying The Matrix Revolutions DVD on Jan 6th and have Star Wars DVDs and VHSs all over the place.

Last night I spent 4 hours watching the Two Towers Extended version and loved it. I can't wait till December 18 for part 3. The last 2 Star Wars were over rated. Forget the Matrix not in the same class as LOTR.
